Eurovision Fact #271:

As of 2022, Lithuania's best placing came in 2006 with representatives LT United's 'We Are the Winners' placing 6th in the Grand Final.

The band was formed with the sole purpose of participating in Eurovision, and while they might not have completed their song's mantra by winning the whole competition, they certainly won for their nation.

TEDVISION PART 14: LT United - We Are The Winners (Lithuania 2006)

I love these guys and if Lordi hadn’t won I would have wanted them to (and Lordi said ‘we are the winners’ which was RUDE). They have such HEART! Such SPIRIT! Such SNARKINESS! Also this is legitimately catchy.

I love how the wildly dancing guy shows no emotion until his flailing dance.

They got booed and that was NOT FAIR, but they came in 6th which is pretty good.

Got a promotion? Unfortunately you achieved a bit much of LT United’s liking.

Get an 18/25 instead of a 17/25 in your hsc modern history exam? You my friend, are a winner of Eurovision.

This is stemmed in the fact that while Lithuania did not win Eurovision that year, they still got the best ever Lithuanian result.
