I don’t usually love novellas, but Hazelwood has a way of sucking me in and making me care deeply about her characters.

These three are very much “same same but different” vibes. If you’re into brainy characters, rejected love at first sight, and a whole lot of pining/yearning, this one’s for you.

I don't like novellas because I always want more - even a normal book, I often feel like there should've been more after the end. And you want me to be satisfied with a 100 page book? I don't think so.

Somehow these had me hooked though, AND the ending was decently satisfying.

ngl, my least favorite of the three novellas. The NASA jargon and 3-point timeline were a bit discombobulating but thankfully landed by the end.

It's a shame that I can't honestly give it a 5-star because their pining was the best thus far. I almost considered doing it anyway, but this is one of the first Hazelwood books that I felt slow to get into and had actual criticism. I can be a level-headed fan, after all!

Also their Mars dirty talk threw me out, sorry.

Big fan of the 3 best friends, though, and breaking the novellas up like that.

It went by so quickly that all I can really say is I loved it (duh). Can we count it as a sports romance if soccer talk took up, like, 75% of the book?

Jokes aside, Ali Hazelwood really has a unique gift for making me care about her characters near immediately. I think I liked this more than Under One Roof. . .but I like both for different reasons so maybe I can't compare. I can never compare her books. They all speak to me in their own way, and yet all fall under the same Hazelwood-styled umbrella.

It absolutely breaks my heart that for 3 weeks, Corporate Thor Erik thought she ghosted him because of rough sex. And honestly crazy but oddly sweet how he accidentally yoinked their client just because he was obsessed.
