I like the theory that the hats made the hyoomens. Maybe lubglubs are floaty toys that were touched by the magi during a dark time in his life. The hats might have been made during a fearful time in the magi's life( like getting chased by lubglubs) and they just so happened to get on fish heads.

Ok, so, I don't understand how Oswin could talk with her own voice. But was she human all along?

I mean, the Doctor was being affected by the Nanocloud? Could he have been hallucionating that Oswin is a dalek?
