Ranking Kevin’s mentors in the reboot

1. vin - literally the best. honestly should have adopted kevin and i will literally always be mad that he didnt. they got along SO WELL and kevin needed a good father figure in his life to replace his shitty actual father

2. hex - hex was honestly pretty neutral about kevin up until the end when he lost the fight. he wasnt like, a great mentor, but he wasnt, like, manipulating kevin either, which is apparently a low bar not a lot of his mentors could pass. he gets points because he gave kevin his own little apprentice robe and also because i think it wouldve been cool to see kevin learn and use magic 

3. steam smythe - literally a terrible match. im shocked their partnership lasted as long as it did. smythe literally shot kevin out of the clocktopus. but again, he didnt like. manipulate kevin. so theres that at least. and i mean for a while kevin got a roof over his head (at least long enough to hang a hammock in the clocktopus) which is a good thing

4. la grange - lagrange gets points for letting kevin steal the dog and that shirt from ben. he loses points for using kevins dark matter form to power his car. what the fuck man. 

5. animo - we didnt really see how kevin and animo got along prior to the uhhh Backstabbing but honestly if kevin wouldve gone ape shit and killed animo i wouldnt have been mad. not that stealing the dna from the watch is like, the worst thing that one of kevins mentors has ever done to him before, but come on dude. 

6. vilgax - hes not really a mentor to kevin but he IS an adult that kevin was in association with. hes the entire reason that kevin has the antitrix which is awesome. he also tried to take the watch from kevin and like attempted to kill kevin. hes literally only above forever knight because hes the reason kevin has his watch

7. forever knight - dude. what the fuck. what the fuck. forever knight was the WORST. beyond using kevins powers multiple times, he also called kevin a knockoff ben and also rubbed in kevins face the fact that he didnt have any (good) family. also kevin and forever knight were trapped in time at some point and even tho kevin sacrificed himself and thats how it happened, its still forever knights fault that the entire thing even like happened at all.
