Lucifer thoughts - Marcno planed by Dad?
So I've been thinking and... what if all this Marcno drama was in fact God's plan? Hear me out.
Why would God curse this particular Human with immortality instead of simply sending him to Hell like all the others? Maybe, just maybe, he knew Lucifer would leave Hell and Caïn could be used to bring him back.
God made Chloe immune to Lucifer's powers because he knew that would catch his attention. He made sure she'd make Lucifer mortal because obviously, at some point or another, something would happen and he'd get wounded. Caïn would hear about it and he'd show up wanting to break his so randomly given curse.
But then Caïn would realize Chloe didn't have the same effect on him as she does on Lucifer. So God needed a way to make sure he'd stay around to make everything go to shit. That's why he gave Lucifer's wings back. I mean think about it. Why would he give him his wings back to stop Caïn if Chloe didn't make him mortal anyway? It makes no sense at all.
But he knew Lucifer would be angry and would seek revenge by going to Caïn. And that's exactly what happened; Lucifer asked Pierce/Caïn to stay because he wanted to get back at his Dad for his wings.
And now Pierce is working with Maze who desperately wants to go back to Hell.
By "getting rid of the cat" Pierce might actually be trying to send it back from where it came from - Hell. And what better way to do so than by breaking his heart and driving him insane?
