ALBUMS I'M LOVING RIGHT NOW → LUCK...OR SOMETHING BY HILARY DUFF

luck... or something is one of the most important albums ever made
luck...or something by hilary duff is unironically one of the best commentaries on cptsd and it's trauma cycles i've ever heard. the way duff connects the unhealthy patterns from her first marriage, how they relate to her fears in her current marriage, and the dysfunction of her family of origin through the pain of her estrangement from her father and sister is masterful.
this album will not win a grammy because it doesn't take itself too seriously intentionally so it can live within the connection between the big picture and the details. ironically, that is why it should be album of the year.
hillary duff and mathew koma wrote a fucking masterpiece.
i am in the stage of healing where i'm hearing my relationships with my abusive family members in ttpd now in a distinctly luck or something way.
hilary duff changed my life in a way i can't describe
How Deep it Cuts Me
The Optimist // Hilary Duff
I wish I could sleep on planes, and that my father would really love me.
"I know you better than your mirror and shadow, I know how often you don't call your mom"
Hilary Duff couldn't have been more savage if she'd pulled out a gun and shot a man in the chest.
