Luckibert headcanons:
Gilbert really really likes Lucky's hair, in his opinion its really neat and soft looking even during the time they're cattledriving, never asks to touch it :(
Lucky is a big eater, can't blame him cuz he was a growing adolescent and Gilbert always gave him his food, cause he didn't really know how else to show his appreciation and later on likeness towards him
Their relationship begins as a drunken stupor and it's very awkward and hormonal driven, even thought they never actually sleep together
After their first kiss there was no going back, Lucky might be a starving man for food but for Gilbert's lips it's even worse :)
Adult Gilbert has a lot of Lucky's stuff, pocket knife that he never opens, the jurnal he carries around was Lucky's and there are neatly protected drawings of his that⁸ he never finished, the buckskin coat he wears is a very good copy of the one Lucky had
Gilbert can't sleep a lot at night so Lucky would do his part of work just so he can sleep more when he did
Lucky would get in fights a lot, or hurt, he scratches and bruises pretty easily so Gilbert learnt how to tend to any kind of injury
Lucky could fall asleep whenever and wherever, despite complaining sometimes and acting grossed out by Lucky drooling on him, Gilbert liked the warmth provided by Lucky's sleeping form
They would absolutely share clothes, being about the same height and weight, Lucky didn't mind sharing his shirts or socks but Gilbert would give his stuff to Lucky without asking for it back ever
