Lately I can't bring myself to work on my own fics, but since this fandom has suck lack of content I wish to add to it, so I'm taking prompts, here, on tumblr, through the RAWHIDE REQUESTS, appreciated if unanimously, but i will of course write them even if sent anonymously, and on AO3, https://archiveofourown.org/works/83483251

Omf I totally see the vision

In the White Bishop and Black Queen the two are supposed to look more masc, Gil has to live with it cuz, born male, and Rowdy has to look like that so she can keep working, her height and shortened up hair making her pass as a gal pretty well, but she ain't bothered by it, gotta get them money somehow, so I don't imagine her looking too differently from male Rowdy, maybe a bit longer hair, around her neck, and softer futures on top of longer lashes, though male Rowdy already has them, but!!!!! When the trail boss costume falls off i imagine Gil to look like the lady from the Incident of The day of the Dead, maybe a bit less curved up, and with a covered face and neck, so a very gorgeous woman, Rowdy's lucky that she even glances at her, or not, who knows

A bit of lore about the Bradley-Favor family.

First of all i wanna say that it was actually a convenience marriage, for Gil and Elara not anyone else, him 23 and she 27, he wanted a better life and she wanted out of a loveless engagement, her parents, father and step mother of course where all against it, and since Eleanor, age 17, took their side , both of the young women where took out of their parents will and of course banished from their home. They live in Elara's house, wich was her mother's, biological one aka Margaery Bradley The First of her name, yes Elara's and Eleanor's father wasn't some noble, just a low class English man who caught the attention and affection of a French noble woman, sadly for Mr Favor, wich become Mr Bradley, but was still allowed to use the name Favor wich he does, the house goes to Eleanor in case of anything bad happening to Elara. The sisters actually had a thight bond despite everything.

The marriage itself proves to be more lovable than they expect, and so by the time Elara's 29 and Gil's 25 they start to try for a child, well more like actually start being active and all that, they have a son when Gil's 26, sadly he dies before he's 1 year old, Gillian is not planned, but she happens and she's of course loved and cherished, when Elara's 31, and when she's 33 she has another daughter, Maggie, or Margaery the Third of her name, but also her mother's health starts going downhill. Gil's barely 30 when the war starts, and it ain't known why he does enlist, but he's made Capitan thorough connections rather than merit, amd at 32 he gets the head injury, that's the last time he sees Elara, she comes alone, without her sister or their children, and well she looks better than the last time Gil's seen her, and that's how she remains in his clouded mind forever.

Gil's 35 when the war is over, he returns home, only to find his wife in a early grave on top of being looked down upon since she's gone and can't take his side anymore, he is blamed of course of her death, meeting his in laws for the second time in his life, and it ends kinda bloody and badly, guess they still loved her. He's kinda made to return almost instantly to being trail boss since life at home wasn't the best anymore, and he was a young widower and father of two young children, so of course he has to return to work, not having too much time to bond with his children and that's why they don't end up recognising him 1 year later when he returns home.

Vision blures from rubbing, yet mahogany eyes turn to search for whoever is in the room. They widen, and perhaps a small gasp is let out from the deep of his throat. His body turns towards the stairs without his own accord, being so wrung up his shoulders shake. His mind must be playing tricks or something, or its a dream or nightmare, though he doesn't have the luck or misfortune of getting to many of them. It's quite something. Familiar and painful, deep into the core of his being. Elara, right in front of his eyes, alive and well, just as he tries to keep her in his memory, and it makes his heart pound so harshly against his chest, fingers trembling as he tries his best to not clentch them out of habit, either to keep himself in this dream or get out of this nightmare. Must be a dream. Yet Elara doesn't vanish away as he steps towards her, looking even more real in the barely lit room, feeling warm and there as he wraps his arms around her, at first soft and hesitat as if afraid to break the form that appears almost bubbly before his eyes, but quick growing more quivering and tight, in the hopeless hope of keeping her there as much as possible.

There's a episode where he wants to do a lady and he tells her his name is Gilbert, Gil sounds less fancy, perhaps his legal name is Gilbert, or he taken it after marriage, I do believe that's his name but he shortened it for easier use. I hc that even thought his name is Gilbert, he started using Gil after Gillian's birth, cause Gil and Gillian works better, also he feels much closer to her that way perhaps.

That makes Rowdy crack up, laughing softly as he always does, shoulders shaking. He's lightening up, Mr Favor can't help but smile under his hat. Things are looking up. He laughs alongside Rowdy, trying to keep his laughter lower. His darkened lungs sure make his laugh sound like a blasted trumpet. Someone is singing in the distance. Them bevees need some quiet for once from those greenhorns and their broken singing, he does too. He wants to listen to Rowdy's laughter and chuckling.
