His grip on his phone tightened, his fingers stinging from his short broken nails. He ran a finger down the side of the phone case, and then traced a crack on the screen over the photo. Over his face.

Maybe he should go back. This wasn't a good idea, anyways. Surren would take him back. He'd certainly be reprimanded and good god it'd hurt, but then he'd be ho... He'd have a place to sleep. He'd have food. He wouldn't be dirty. He should have thought this through, he should have had a plan.

He just wanted to be free. He couldn't take it anymore. The questions from his fellow employees, the friends he's lost..

He was lonely. All he had was Surren.

So why did he leave? Why would he--

"Hey there!"

Good Luck lifted his head, and before him stood a cheerful but concerned looking blonde boy with a red cap atop his head.

"You don't look so good, bud. Do you need a place to stay at all? My friends and I would be ecstatic to take you in!" The blonde boy's tone was welcoming and friendly. He held his hand out to Good Luck, and he couldn't help but crack a small smile at the fingerless gloves that poked out under the poofy sleeves of his jacket.

"I.. Could use some food, I guess. And I definitely haven't figured out where I'm gonna stay..." Good Luck thought a moment. "O.. Okay sure, yeah. I'll go with you."

He figured, well if these guys murder me, at least I'll be free.

So he grabbed the blonde boys hand, and let him pull him up.

"Name's Funshine! I hope we can be good friends." His smile was warm, and bright. Good Luck felt comfortable.

"Good Luck. Nice to meet you." And for the first time in a while, he felt a real smile spread across his lips.

Hi! A scene sketch from a fic I plan on getting to from an au I created. This is a care bears (human) au where Good Luck was in an abusive relationship with someone before meeting the rest of the care bears. (In this specific fic tho, he knows Funshine already.)

Warnings; mentions of bruising, implied sexual content and somewhat sexual language. :)

"I just... Need someone." Good luck whispered, his fingers tangled in Funshines bright blonde hair.

Funshine bit his lip, conflicted. He had the evidence. And Good Luck was honest- as honest as they come! But he felt wrong.

Tears fell down Good Luck's face.

"Lucky.." His nickname rolled off Funshine's tongue perfectly, drawing a sob from the boy in his arms. His lips grazed his neck lightly, fingers lingering on his waist for too long.

"I want to feel safe." He whispered, and Funshine made up his mind. Dipping his fingers under his best friends shirt, Good Luck hissed at the pressure on newly formed bruises. "I want you, Funshine." He swallowed and his lips trembled.

Funshine bit the inside of his cheek, shutting his eyes tight.

"I want you...

...But I can't escape."
