Squatted down

Watched him closely

After several minutes

As he began hopping away

She stood up

Heaved a great sigh

Refreshed her lipstick

Turned again toward the pond

The bullfrogs went silent

There’s been this lovely little gold frog coming to visit me on my kitchen window for like the last 3-4 nights.

I greet it every time and tell it I’m happy to see it.

It feels like a good sign.

Frogs are considered good luck - and I mean a gold frog certainly must be good luck. I have only ever seen a gold frog once before, I think about a year ago, maybe two? And I was so amazed at the discovery. It makes me happy to see this one come to visit me. I always feel honored when I see frogs.

Bring it on little frog. I could most definitely use some good luck. 🍀
