Lindsay Rodriguez is the Communications Manager for the National Network of Abortion Funds. She joined NNAF after serving as Board President for the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity. From San Antonio, she'll always be a proud Texan who loves a dog walk, warm patio nights, and a good book.

Lucy Haslam (@laslan) graduated last year from Falmouth University, UK and now specialises in editorial work and comics. Some of these comics are made as part of the group Froglump, which has tabled at fairs around the country and does fun events together.

Oyzo (or Ouzo) is a strong absinthe-like liquor native to Greece, where it’s enjoyed with mezes. Whilst clear in the bottle, it turns a cloudy white once mixed with water.

Dr. Santos is basically a scientific sorcereress, poised to revolutionize the (failing or broken) human body.

She is a leading expert in fields ranging from hand biomechanics, neural control of movement, prosthetics, tactile sensors, and machine learning, and serves as the director of the University of California Los Angeles Biomechatronics Lab, which is “dedicated to improving the quality of life by enhancing the functionality of artificial hands and their control in human-machine systems.”

The lab is devoted to understanding reflex-like grip responses in hands, the neuromuscular control of multiple digits during manipulation tasks, and tactile sensor technology that can provide feedback for real-time control of artificial fingertips.

Having received national honors as a teaching assistant and already nabbed a National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development CAREER award, Santos is deftly toggling between transforming life for amputees and paving the future of autonomous robotic systems.
