An American, Arrested
American and newer resident of London, Lucy Abernathy, was arrested this morning on suspicion of smuggling. Ms. Abernathy, a woman known to spend her time around the docks, claims she was being framed. She is being held in New Newgate as these claims are being investigated. The name of the man who tipped off the constables was not recorded.

Somewhere, a row of townhouses that had been blessedly drama free for a whole stint suddenly erupts in noise. First it's joy, then it's concern, then… Well, sometimes the noise of an argument between Mother and Daughter can't be anything else. It switches between English and Louisiana French through windows no one had thought to close first and ends with a woman storming out, dragging her twin in her wake.
