CATCHY AF [R&B/hip-hop/pop]

Lui Dodds is a pop R&B singer whose releases really haven’t garnered that much attention, although I really hope that’s going to change with these latest releases. He’s really coming back on the scene after almost two years of relative inactivity in terms of original work. Now, he’s announced that he’s in the process of working on a debut EP with this song being the feature track. “Magic” is both soft and aggressive at the same time. It’s seductive, rough, and gentle at the same time, namely because Lui’s voice is rather soothing and sexy, yet the beat, produced by Laurie Coupar, is a borderline trap beat, making the chorus a little edgy. All in all, it’s a wonderful collaboration and I’m looking forward to this EP...Great stuff, Lui.
