Just give her a bionic arm with clawed fingertips.
ngl i could absolutely imagine cinder getting a bionic arm and then just. filing the fingertips herself into claws.
she has an aesthetic to uphold.
I keep seeing Morgana stuff on my dash, and my mind keeps coming back to one question: the Merlin fandom genuinely expected the BBC to be anything but rabidly pro-monarchy?
Which kitty cat is the kitty fat cat?
Yama!
Nora both means "Light" and gets her pink from the Nora Barlow Columbine flower. Ren means lotus. Every character we've met has a color name, with the exception of Ozpin himself (something Monty made sure to point out in his OC making guidelines).
So they don’t have to be explicitly colors, just color related? That does broaden the range of possible names at least
And I didn’t know Ren and Nora are named after flowers, that’s really sweet!
I just looked up Nora’s flower and it’s real pretty :D
So uh, you know your post about book recs here not really containing enough of the premise to grab readers? I've been seeing posts about it for months, but I just googled Gideon the Ninth, and Wikipedia just told me IT'S A FANTASY STORY SET IN A SPACEFARING CIVILISATION?! GOD I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THIS BOOK MONTHS AGO.
Gideon is a VERY difficult book to rec because like.
What genre is it? Yes.
The answer to that question is “yes”.
Tragedy? Comedy? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Court intrigue? Locked-room murder mystery? Straight-up horror? Spyjinks? Apotheosis? Scapegoat vs Golden Child emotional abuse victims slowly learning to see one another as human beings romance? Paranoid investigation plotline? Enemies to friends to [spoiler]? High-level extended-cast political-religious conspiracy? Memes? “Yeah, kind of, but not entirely.’
Gideon is the himbo jock we deserve who’s too busy being a lesbian and thinking about swords to notice that she should be dead already and understands roughly 5% of anything happening at any given time. Harrowhark is precisely two hundred and one debilitating traumas stuffed into a trenchcoat. It’s hilarious except for the parts where it will fucking break you on a molecular level; I opened with “tragedy” for a reason. The narrative tone is irreverent and comedic but the story itself gets dark as shit. Take the “necromancers” part of “necromancers in space” seriously, the descriptions of necromantic magic and how it’s performed are pretty unflinching. You will end up respecting characters you still hate.
There’s a pool scene.
It’s a good time. Somehow it makes you laugh in the exact middle of EVERYTHING going wrong. The sequel’s out soon and it looks to be completely tonally different, so we’ll see how that goes!
TierZoo, an educational channel that talks about animals in videogame terms did a video on it, and he went for the 10k Rats and the 50 Eagles. The Eagles to swarm the human immediately and stop them from sniping their way to victory and then there's 200 Rats for every other animal.
TierZoo did WHAT?!?!?!?!?
People posing and perambulators parked in People’s Park by National Library of Ireland on The Commons Via Flickr: This beautiful Lawrence Royal plate of the Spring Rice Memorial in the People’s Park in Limerick is today’s offering. The wonderful lady hat in the foreground, is matched by those of the two ladies posing on the slope with their perambulators, while children stand and sit behind them. In former, more innocent times, children would lie down and roll down those slopes for the sensation of becoming dizzy and being “drunk”!
