Anyway I’m now, apparently, writing a milt-chapter Valeyard/Lumiat story so that’s fun

Ok. I'm going to do the big brave thing now. I have a little fanart of a headcannon thing I have for the Lumiat. It started out as a pencil sketch, then I added colored pencil highlights, and the regeneration-like energy is oil pastel because it was the color that I wanted. None of these behaved the way I wanted, but for a first try, it gets my point across. Anyway.

Headcannon or whatever... Maybe the Elysian Field is and isn't like regeneration... ( One hell of a bird, eh? ) And I saw it as burning away the pigment in her dress, akin to a scene with Vanya in Umbrella Academy. Purification/purging, symbolic stuff. Of course we all know how that went. A superficial change, but a start. Fake it till you make it? I still have hope for her somewhere in there though...

Also, maybe the Lumiat thing didn't stick because they were trying to be like the Doctor, instead of adjusting themself to be a better person in their own way.
