There are many charities I could donate to, but I chose @hair_we_share because they make free wigs for cancer patients, and no one going through cancer should have to pay for something so important, that cancer stole - their hair! After doing some research for putting together my hair donation event, I found out that the wig-making process is extremely expensive, and that Hair We Share has been bombarded with hair donations, but not enough funds to cover the cost to turn those ponytails into wigs. That's why I joined their Ponytail Tracking Program! The $125 you donate to join, offsets the cost for your own ponytail (or someone's else's if you can't donate your hair) to be made into a wig, AND you get to see the wig that your ponytail is made into when it's done. This is my third time donating my hair, and I've never had this chance!
