Okay, this wasn’t too difficult. Dio ran through a list in his head - living room cleaned, vacuumed, movie choices out, flowers - and was waiting anxiously once evening rolled around. He’d said tomorrow night, but didn’t specify a time, and no he felt a bit guilty for that (especially considering he’d ushered everyone else out of the house for the night...). He even got dressed up a little - nothing fancy like a suit, but a dress shirt and nice pants more normal-looking than his usual attire was enough.
So he flopped himself on the couch, just waiting. It hadn’t been too long until he heard a soft knock on the door. Springing to life, Dio almost tripped over himself getting to the doorway and swinging it open.
Sure enough, his date of the evening was standing there, looking a bit nervous (nothing new for her, really).
“H-hey. Glad you could make it,” he stammered, giving a small grin in greeting.
