Heya! I’m really flattered that you like my joke logo, and would like to buy a T-shirt from me, I really am. (After all, what artist doesn't want to hear that?)
Here’s the thing though: This is going as a general announcement cos I’ve been getting a lot of I’m really happy to announce that:
I DO NOT SELL GAY NASA SHIRTS.
I DO NOT PLAN ON SELLING ANY GAY NASA SHIRTS. EVER.
If you see someone online selling anything with a “gay nasa” logo know that it is not me.
But, Essick, why do you feel this way? Here’s a small list of reasons:
1) Even though it’s a parody and considered “fair use”, it’s still technically copy written. And to make matters more sticky this isn’t just *any* corporate logo but a logo that’s owned by the US federal government. I don’t know about you, but everything is all fun and games until the government is involved. It’s too much trouble.
2) Legal mumbo jumbo aside, this more a personal thing. But making money off a government agency who is currently having a hard time keeping afloat in this god awful political climate: why not buy T-shirts and actual official NASA merch and help our space program.
