With a dull thud he dropped the last of his boxes to the worn wooden floor of his new bed room, wiping sweaty palms against the fabric of his jeans as he rested against the wall. Moving into an apartment wasn’t ideal but it was his b e s t option, his only option, currently. Low paying job and paying for school killed any chance he had at living on his own, he did the best he could an ad for a roommate on craigslist maybe it wasn’t the best decision he’d ever made but the apartment was nice. And his new roommate -Dean?- seemed decent enough. It’s not like he had to be best friends with him, he was just looking for a place to sleep between shifts if he was being completely honest. Moving back home was a decision that was n o t going to happen, he’d sleep in his car before that.

Nudging the forgotten box the rest of the way into the room, he cleared his throat awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes glanced around the apartment before falling on the other male.

“So… What’d you say you do for a living again?” It was the best attempt he had at an interaction currently, while it was a feeble attempt, he hadn’t really asked too many questions before he’d moved in.

     The loud sounds prompt Dean to come out of his room ,  alerted when he thought about breaking and entering.  This might not be the best apartment because there are crappy issues about the waterworks and plumbing sometimes ,  but it’s all what he have as of now.  Memories of the Winchester brothers reside in this place after their house burned down ,  so although it’s not much ,  Dean decided to stay while Sammy went to the college of his dreams.  Someone has to stay and look after Mom.

     As an active person ,  he works a lot of jobs and shifts or whatever he can get his hands on ,  so he is going to be really pissed if someone’s attempting a bullshit robbery in this house.

     Turns out that it’s just a gangling kid with a lot of boxes in the other room.  CORRECTION:  Sammy’s old room.

He wasn’t exactly expecting for Parrish to ruffle his hair, although the touch wasn’t exactly unwelcome, physical affection wasn’t exactly something he got a lot of. And coming from someone who was slowly becoming some kind of parental figure it was nice.

Parrish had grown fond of Isaac. He was a good kid. A little rough around the edges, but who wouldn’t be after being raised by a shitty father and losing a sibling?

The deputy was walking past Isaac, who was seated on the couch, and ruffled his hair without really thinking about it. He took a few steps forward before it sank in.

         “ sure, ” shane says, his voice a bit CLIPPED, because honestly? what else could possibly happen? he’s a DEAD GUY --- floating about, endlessly for the rest of eternity, so why the hell not? why wouldn’t lycanthrophy be a thing? his goddamn skepticism went out the fucking window the second he stared at his own body. NOTHING can surprise him at this point.
