This is the Tale of Fair Shiro, a kind, gentle soul whom at a young age had been stolen from his home and imprisoned in a lonesome tower deep in the Galran forest by evil Lord Zarkon. T'was his hair, you see, and it’s healing powers of quintessence that tempted Lord Zarkon to steal Fair Shiro away. Zarkon feared Death above all else, and with Shiro moored to his side, he needn’t fear it at all.
But! Along comes handsome rogue, Sir Lancelot and his ferocious steed, the Blue Lion! (“Lance, Blue is a horse not a l-” “Shh! don’t let her hear you say that, Shiro! She’ll get pissy and won’t let us ride her for a week!”) Together, they bravely faced the very real risk of Lord Zarkon’s wrath to free Fair Shiro from his prison and bring him home to his rightful place among the Paladins of Voltron.
This is a story of Adventure! Suspense! Of daring deeds and courageous acts (“Courageous? Last night you saw a spider and screamed like a little child”, “It was right in my face! I was surprised, okay? Also, it was massive!”, “Right, the size of an infant’s thumbnail equals massive,” “Shut up Shiro! You’re ruining the story!”), and most of a all, a story of finding your way home. Or perhaps, a story of finding out that Home has been with you, all along…

The idea of Shiro as Rapunzel made me very happy so I had to whip this up real quick :D
C2? (I'm pretty sure that's the, er, passing out and looking younger one) For Ryou & Ryou/Lance?
This is Whump Bingo! Help me get bingo by submitting prompts from this card. Shiro and Ryou whump preferred, almost all Shiro (and Shiro-alike) pairings accepted. I will only fill one prompt per square, so if you see your suggestion filled by another ask, feel free to resubmit with a different one.
Looking down at the pale face in his lap, Lance heaved a long sigh. The hum of the obelisks around them nearly drowned out the noise, but it didn’t matter. Lance doubted that Ryou was going to be moving for at least a few hours.
At least they were relatively safe. Their team and lions couldn’t track them down and come get them due to the high volume of quintessence running through these ruins, neither could the Galra.
That had been Lance’s argument, at least, while Ryou paced the perimeter. He’d barely gotten a grunt in return. It was probably the most Shiro-like that Lance had seen Ryou in months. He was protective of the team, yes, but he was more defensively focused than his brother. This ‘stalk the area for threats, be ready for all things, never admit weakness’ was Shiro’s bad habit.
Seems like when he was especially worried, Ryou slipped up.
Btws if anyone wants to write that biker Baker au for luro.... I’m so down for that.
Jealousy Turns Saint into the Sea
Shiro’s eyes strained to stay open, the ceiling a comforting reminder that he was indeed back at the castle, but he didn't know if he was happy to be back to what he came to.
Lance was dating his clone. Kuro, as they called him.
At first it was fine, but after seeing the two and how they interacted it had brought up some buried feelings he had thought he shot down before the fight with Zarkon. They seemed so happy.
This was his own fault, wasn’t it? Letting Lance slip through his fingers because he didn’t initiate something, even if a tiny spark, all because he would choke up on even thinking of getting closer to the blue, now red, boy.
It didn’t help, either, that earlier he walked in on Lance kissing Kuro. He had left before they could notice but now the image was engraved in his head every time he closed his eyes; stomach churned with jealousy. It killed him to watch them everyday with the sweet whispers and lingering touches.
It hurt worse to catch them and they stumble over excuses to leave, like they knew how he felt and yet taunted him when they think he isn't looking.
As he lays his arm over his face, heavy eyelids fell shut, mind still wide awake and wild with the image. He could only watch, frozen, as the kiss turned into something heavier, his mind turning it into something more than an innocent kiss.
Lance trails his hands down Kuro’s chest, moving into his lap to get a better angle, never breaking the kiss. Kuro pushes off Lance’s jacket, a moan emanating from both of their throats as he breaks the kiss to trail them down the younger’s neck, biting down into the soft skin.
He didn’t want to watch this, but his body wasn’t cooperating as the scene transitioned and he was trapped in his own mind. Why was he torturing himself like this?
Kuro and Lance had moved positions now, laying on the couch with Kuro hovering over Lance. Their shirts are gone and marks are all over Lance’s skin, moans and sounds coming from the burnet that Shiro had desperately wanted to hear, but not like this.
He wanted to be the one to cause them, not his clone.
He could only swallow as Kuro trailed his hand down the dark skin of the boy underneath him, exploring his body like he had a mission in mind.
A hum escaped his throat before a smirk appeared on his face as he bit down once more into the juncture of where the shoulder met his neck as Lance let out another drawn out pleased moan. He nosed the skin after and pressed a small kiss there, his smirk getting wider as his gaze caught Shiro’s, his eyes turning bright yellow before whispering into the skin of Lance’s, “Mine.”
He jolted right up in bed, the sweat on his brow trailing down his face as he panted. He must’ve fallen asleep as the lights were brighter now and he could hear shuffling of people behind his door, getting ready for the day cycle on the ship.
He swiped a hand down his face as he caught his breath, sighing wearily.
What price did he pay when he had let the boy of his dreams go?
Lance watched Shiro- wait, no, not Shiro- fall to his knees, clutching at his head. He watched, silently, as the clone pulled at his hair and screamed. Lance felt his heart pull as he watched the man he had gotten closer to over the past few months break.
Lance took a deep breath and walked over to the crumpled figure. He put his hand on top of the clone’s head gently. “Hey, man,” he murmured, “it’s gonna be okay.”
The clone recoiled away from Lance’s touch. His hands dropped and he rolled off his knees until he was standing in front of Lance, a look of brokenhearted fury on his face. His eyes were red and there were wet lines down his face, obvious signs of his distress. “How,” he began, “can you say that? How do you know what’s going to happen?
“I’m sorry, did you find out that everything you thought you knew about yourself was a lie?” The clone’s voice cracked. “Did you find out that, that you’re nothing but a copy or someone else?” He took a shaky breath and another batch of tears welled up in his eyes. “I, I’m not even supposed to exist, Lance. I’m not real. I’m not Shiro. I’m,” he paused. He took the break in his rant to wipe at his tears angrily with his flesh hand. He looked down and finished his thought. “I’m nobody.”
Lance watched the clone cry for a few moments while he tried to come up with what to say. If only the real Shiro was here; he always knew the right thing to say. Lance shook his head.
“That doesn’t matter,” he began. “You’re here now. You’re real. You exist. So, you’re not Shiro; that’s okay! We already have one of him, we don’t need another. We’ll find a place for you, whoever that might be. We’ll figure it out, together, as a team. It’s gonna be okay.”
The clone sniffled and raised his head, meeting Lance’s eye again. “How?”
Lance smiled. “I remember when I was ten, my sister went though a phase where she dyed her hair and got a bunch of tattoos and she looked like a completely different person than the sister I had grown up knowing. I bet Coran and Allura have similar things that could make you look a little less like Shiro, and a little more like who you want to be. I mean, if you want?”
The clone wiped his nose on the back of his hand, “That actually sounds really good. I’d like that. Will you help me?”
“Of course I will, buddy!” Lance patted the clone on the back and grinned. The clone couldn’t help but smile back- it was a small smile, but it was there. “In the meantime, though, we should probably come up with a new name for you. Your own identity?”
The clone nodded, already lost in thought. “Back with the Galra, they called me Kuron?”
Lance thought about it for a second. Somehow, it fit. “I like it. Welcome to the team, Kuron!”
Kuron swallowed and smiled softly, “Thank you, Lance.”
i need some fluff b/c thinking about all the possible angst with s3! shiro hurts me.
*cries* why does kurance stuff have to be angsty some of the time
how about if shiro does have a winter soldier moment lance pulls a thing from that movie RED (retired extremely dangerous, the lady sharpshooter had to prove her alliances so she either chooses to shoot or don’t shoot her russian love, she puts 3 bullets in his chest but being a pro avoids anything fatal proving she still cares for him.) and shoots shiro but only to incapacitate him till the team can destroy the trigger and save him.
bonus: shiro remembers seeing lance mouth ‘trust me’ as he’s about shoot him down and closing his eyes as he accepts his fate then waking up falling out of a cryopod overwhelmed bc he did not expect to make it through that ordeal. Lance is there to help him flashing a bright grin saying how he told him he could trust him and now shiro doesn’t have to worry about turning on them again.
bonus bonus: shiro confronts lance asking why he’d want to save him since he was a clone and even attacked the team. Lance in turn asks about what he was thinking when right before they saved him in s2 ep5 (when he was dying, lance heard his logs and heard that defeated tone at the last day) of course shiro thought about his team. Lance suggests that that must be why black reacted, his feelings are real, he’s real. Lance tells him in a serene, genuine voice, “You’re worth saving”. Shiro cries and gets a hug from lance.
then my heart bursts into rainbows and that’s the end of my silly idea
