For the fic tropes: Prison AU + Soulmate AU with Luro =O

okay okay so!

Kuro is the biggest, toughest person in the prison yard. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, ever thinks to mess with him. He is utterly unflappable and constantly has an intense and scary face on, there’s rumors that he was the champion of some kinda underground fighting ring and that he fought half the arresting team before he got overwhelmed by sheer numbers. He is... the prison boss.

Which is why the collective prison population flips their shit when the new guy appears, super nervous because he’s in for... nobody really knows what it is but the popular bet is he got caught shoplifting and ended up looking a lot worse than he should have, spots Kuro, and just. walks right up to him with a suave grin and hands that roam across Kuro’s chest, while Kuro is looking more and more like a besotted puppy.

It takes everyone at least a month to realize that Kuro and Lance have effectively moved in together, and another month after that for someone to brave the showers enough to see the matching soulmarks.

six months later Lance is casually chatting up half the prison yard and upends their entire worldview when they learn that Kuro actually has a twin brother who was the underground fighting ring champion and he took the fall to get that brother out of it, while Lance is an ex-assassin who got arrested for punching the police commissioner’s dickwad son.

Y’know I love me some Altean!Kuro and Galra!Lance. I was just thinking of how Kuro would react to Lance doing something so stupidly life endangering for something that could’ve been handled by someone else….and I thought he might explode with concerned anger. Y’know how some parents yell at their kids because they don’t know how to word their worry? Yeah, I imagine Kuro is like that. Obviously Lance already knows this so he resorts back to what he always falls back on when someone is angry/disappointed with him. Humour.
