قاموس الأحزان الغامضة

تمر بنا الكثير من المشاعر التي لا نجد لها كلمة تصفها بدقة، ونحتاج إلى شرحها بكثير من الكلمات أو نبقيها للشعور فقط دون تعبير.

لاحظ هذا الأمر شاب ألماني مغرم باللغة الإنجليزية يدعى "جون كوينج"، وقرر ابتداع كلمات إنجليزية جديدة تصف أكثر المشاعر غموضًا وتعقيدًا، مؤلفًا بهذا "قاموس الأحزان الغامضة" وهو مليء بالمعاني الرائعة التي تجعلك تشعر بأنك لست وحيدًا في أغلب ما تشعر به.

هنا بعض الكلمات حسبما ذُكِرت في موقع "dictionary of obscures sorrows":

Opia

: الشعور بالمعنى الكثيف والغامض المتولد من تبادل النظرات الصامتة أو العابرة مع الآخرين.

Alazia

: الخوف من ثباتك وأنك لن تتغير أبدًا وأن شخصيتك تتصلب بمرور الوقت ولم يعد لديك أية مرونة للتغير.

Des Vu

: لحظة الوعي بأن ما تمر به سيصبح ذكرى حد أنك تستطيع تخيل حاضرك في صورة ذكرى.

Kudoclasm

: اللحظة التي تبدأ فيها بالتنازل وتبدأ أحلامك الكبيرة بالتقلص لتلائم الواقع.

Vemodalen

: الشعور بأن كل شيء قد تم فعله مسبقًا، وأن حياتك وسعيك ما هو إلا تكرار ممل وأنه لا يوجد لديك جديد تضيفه للحياة.

Kenopsia

: الشعور الغريب تجاه الأماكن الساكنة والفارغة التي كنت معتادًا على ازدحامها، مثل مدرسة في الليل، أو مكتب عمل مظلم بعد ساعات الدوام، أو مدينة ألعاب بعد منتصف الليل.

Lutalica

: الشعور بأن جزءا من هويتك لا يتلاءم مع التصنيفات التي وضعت بها منذ ولادتك.

Exulansis

: الميل إلى عدم الحديث عن تجربتك للآخرين لأنهم لن يستمعوا لها جيدًا بسبب أنها قد تثير الحسد أو الشفقة أو سوء الظن، مما قد يجرفهم بعيدًا عن قصتك.

Onism

: الشعور بالإحباط لأنك عالق في جسد واحد والوعي بقلة أو شحّ حول ما ستجربه في هذه الحياة، وأن الكثير من الأشياء والأماكن في العالم لن يتاح لك تجربتها أو زيارتها قبل موتك.

Sonder

: لحظة الشعور بأن الآخرين لديهم قصصهم المعقدة التي يؤدون دور البطولة فيها كما تفعل أنت، اللحظة التي تعي فيها أنك بطل قصة محاط بأبطال قصص أخرى.

LUTALICA “You tell the world who you are in a million different ways. Some are subtle, some are not. But it doesn't seem to matter: this world has already got you pegged. When you were born they put you in a little box, and slapped a label on it. So they could keep things organiz...

Well, here it is. 6 years of formulating this story in my mind and 6 months of writing down the beginning (first 8 chapters). It actually started back when I still had MaDD. But now I want to share it with other people! 

This is still an extremely rough draft, but it’s what I’m turning in for my capstone. I had help from an author with editing it, so I hope it’s a decent draft. 

Here’s the story’s premise:

Flightless angel Ero finally gets a chance to lead his first mission for the angelic empire that rules over almost all of the local cluster of galaxies. His flightlessness has held Ero back in his society for most of his life, but he hopes that this mission will let him prove himself to his people. His mission will take him to a planet known as Terrarum, and though he is supposed to choose other angels for his unit, Ero decides to recruit two warriors from a local planet owned by the empire. He and his warrior friends believe their mission will be simple: stop a group of demons from causing trouble on Terrarum. But the demons have another plan, and Ero finds that he must engage in a full-on war with the demons if he and his unit are to stop them.

This story is heavily inspired by media such as Kid Icarus, Elder Scrolls, various anime and cartoons, and Homestuck. If any of those things interest you, you might be interested in this!

I would like to credit the working title of this story to @dictionaryofobscuresorrows! I love the words from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, and I hope to use more of their words for other titles in this series!

Final note: I’m putting this in the MaDD tag because this story started as one of my daydreams. Writing it down was one of the factors that led me to stop daydreaming, but I know it’s not a solution for everyone. This just worked for me.
