#luts centaur

made this a while ago, but never got around to taking any pictures. Arion’s a tough case, since he’s an unusual body type and is meant to have a style I’m not that familiar with making. this outfit kind of straddles the line between high fantasy and futuristic, but we’ll get there eventually.

since it might be hard to see, this outfit consists of an asymmetrical long-sleeve shirt, a high-collar short-sleeve jacket that extends to his tail in the back, and a no-sleeve coat that crosses on his chest and drapes over most of his horse half. and then it looked empty in the front so I tied a scrap of the jacket fabric on as a belt. everything was made with patterns I sketched out in an afternoon, and that iridescent mesh was an absolute nightmare, so all things considered, it came out okay.

But I promised dolls! Here is my most recent inclusion. My beautiful LUTS centaur! Please excuse photo quality. I figured some lower quality photos were better than none!  At the time (about January), I was still living with in-laws. They have an older (but fairly nicer) home and were kind enough to let my husband and I get a bit more stable financially. Thus the orange counter tops! A lot of good things had happened just this December that are just life changing! Along side with just positives was the inclusion of a doll I have always dreamed about and became available around that time!  I have always wanted a LUTS centaur since I first saw one. I never assumed I would be able to get one. I passed up the fairyland release of their centaur dolls, and when LUTS released another batch of these beautiful dolls it was like the stars aligned. She is by far the favorite in my collection! She is still without a faceup and will be until we are unpacked and settled. We are currently in our own apartment! I cant believe it is already May!

Some pics of Kieran’s fullset as promised! He sure looks like a cute little lordling in it doesn’t he? I seriously love this doll. :)

Someday I’ll take the fullset outfit off and do a proper kelpie photoshoot with him in water, but ... yaknow. Not for a while.

So I got my centaur from Luts today! I didn’t realize that having them change his lips would make him look so sweet??? He’s so precious!! He doesn’t look at all like the vicious beast he is!

This is Kieran, he’s a kelpie of irish myth (for those that don’t know, those are the water horses who will lure people to ride them, and then drown them and eat them). 

Right now he needs new eyes and he needs to have a proper horsey tail with kelp bits in made for him, but boy do I love him!

And boy did it hurt getting him assembled! Seriously a pain in my ass lmao.

It took seriously like 5 hours for me to finally get him all assembled and get his fullset outfit on. His fullset is RIDICULOUSLY complicated! But totally worth the money I paid for it, wow it’s detailed and has a lot of stuff!

This is his full regalia for when he visits the unseelie court. His day-to-day wear will be either what he had on in the last photoset, or nothing. Or whatever random odds and ends I scrounge for him.

It’s nice having a doll who doesn’t need shoes!

I lost power today and it was raining and I was bored, so I took Kieran out to take pictures of him. Sadly, the light was worse than I thought so these were the only ones that turned out.

Kieran meeting the rest of my bebs! He and Inaseli seem to have hit it off. I think they’ll be getting a lot of photoshoot adventures together in the future!

I love how Kohvar is taller than Kieran. My noodly childe lmao!

I’m gonna need to take a lot more pics of these four playing around! Look forward to it!
