i have zinnia in mind when asking this because she’s so super very cool, but feel free to answer for any f/o! or multiple if you’d like :3
the question!! talk about your favourite date/outing you’ve been on together! where did you go? what did you do? was it planned or spontaneous? things like that!
So, technically speaking it wasn't a date so much as it was... hiding from Archie's megalomaniac psychic uncle, but an almost week long camping trip to Faraway Island was nice before the peace got broken :)
One of the days was very much a free day, spending it exploring the island and cataloguing everything that made it unique and separated from the rest of Hoenn, very much an unknown untapped wild locale carefully guarded by Zinnia's grandmother, Hortensia. It was a combination of cataloguing and observing the unique wild Pokemon on the island, flying along the water and above the jungles on her Salamence and Rachel's Flygon, and then the day ended on the beach.
It was the most carefree and peaceful moment that they'd had in a long time and it was the first time that Rachel had seen Zinnia truly living and enjoying the feeling of being alive after her plans to martyr herself were denied by Rayquaza. Rachel already had feelings for Zinnia and they were in a very complicated (and by complicated, I mean emotionally constipated) situationship, but that moment of them just playfully wrestling on the beach together and seeing Zinnia just living and being alive was the moment that Rachel's feelings hit her like a freight train.
It was the moment that Rachel's feelings went from 'having feelings' to 'in love.' Very much a 'Zinnia fell first, but Rachel fell harder' moment with them.
And then the following day, everything went completely haywire and off the rails, but they got through that horrible nightmare together :)
