your F/O stares at you, for a long time they do, and it wasn't because you seemed 'ugly' or 'off' to them. no, it was something else.

it was the sun, your skin, the sun kissing your skin.

oh, how they envied the things around you.

the pillows that held your head, that had your tears fall upon them. the blankets that covered you and protected you from the cold or the monsters that came in the dark.

your stuffies who you told all your secrets to, if you had any. your very surroundings for experiencing all of you before they could have at all.

and here was the sun. kissing your skin so gently, so softly.

it should have been them kissing your skin and making you glow.

but they won't admit it, it just sounded silly to them.

you looked gorgeous in the sun anyways, so why bother? you were happy, you were looking at them, only them.

so their envy is pushed aside and forgotten for as long as you breathed in their air.

I am so jealous that you can do that! I have a fairly active imagination, but I can never convince myself that my f/os would ever say that. I spend 90% of my time convinced my f/os would hate me if they were real. How do you do it? What is the secret?

(Referring to this post) Awwww anon!! I mean, please don't skip over the part in my post where I said I'm forcing myself to practice self love! If you just let your brain tell you whatever it wants, and that "whatever" is self-deprecation, then practicing self-love through your f/os needs to be a very, VERY conscious choice and effort. There really is no secret other than this: you need to keep telling yourself that you are worthy of love, even if you don't believe it, because it will ALWAYS be true, and one day, you will believe it!
