Kara x Lena x James (Luverson?) fluff written fast and unedited because I’m trash

Keeping her phone tucked into the inside of one of her tall boots was, in Kara’s opinion, a pretty amazing solution to her suit’s lack of pockets. It wouldn’t fall out, the inside of her calf wasn’t a place that often got hit, and the small phone-shaped lump wasn’t overly noticeable. And it wasn’t like she got that many texts while fighting crime anyway; most of her friends knew to contact her through the DEO. Or to just yell.

It was a good solution until she’s yanking the gun from a bank robber's hands at 4 in the morning and her shoe starts buzzing comically with texts.

“Is that-” They both glanced at her leg for a moment, then Kara jerked the robber’s hands behind his back, cutting him off before he could finish his question.

She had to deliver him and his van-driving shotgun-wielding partner to the police arriving in front of the bank before Kara could even think about the texts she must have gotten. And she didn’t even stoop to answer the texts until she was floating above the city, enjoying the brisk fall air and lingering morning darkness.

James (4:14 am): Go Supergirl!!!

Lena (4: 15 am): <3

Despite herself, Kara smiled, not bothering to put the phone away as she flew back to her apartment. The lights were on in the bedroom, and even without super hearing she could hear voices.

“I didn’t mean to wake you guys. You could have gone back to sleep,” Kara said, walking in the doorway of the bedroom.

“We’re being supportive,” Lena was sitting cross legged on the messy bed, her voice soft with affection and early morning haze. Her hair was up in a bun and she was wearing an oversized sweatshirt that was probably James’ and she sleepy and unguarded in a way she never let the world see.

“And you could have woken us. It’s no big deal,” James held his hand out to her from where he was longing next to Lena, long legs draped across her lap. Kara crossed the room to take it and he pulled her into bed as if she wasn’t wearing a cape.

“You both need to sleep. You have companies to run,” Kara tucked her head into James’ shoulder. He smelled like cinnamon and Lena’s perfume.

“Kara, you’re more important than any company. We want to make sure you’re alright, and be here if you need it.” He kissed her cheek, and Kara smiled at the words. Lena just made a vaguely agreeing noise, already dozing against the headboard. Even with both of them fighting crime at night, Lena managed to sleep the least of the three of them.

“I’m gonna go change.” Slipping out from under James’ arm, Kara walked towards the bathroom, kicking off her boots.

By the time she walked back in, wearing flannel pajama pants and a tee shirt, James and Lena were asleep again, half tucked in with the lamp still chasing away the morning’s shadows.

Smiling to herself, Kara shut off the light and crawled into bed.

003 | Give me a character & I will tell you

How I feel about this character: Lena Lauren Luthor (her middle name can be negotiated but I think something beginning with L would fit the Luthor tradition) is one of my all time favourite characters from any show. She is strong, smart, funny, flirty, brave, emotional and fierce. She is so determined and ambitious, she defies every wrong judgement, every person that underestimates her, everyone that compares her to someone else. Lena is such a complex and interesting character. She is an emotional abuse victim and she has several scenes with Lillian where she calls her out on how she’s treated her (do you know how difficult that is?! Do you know how amazing it is to have a character that actually talks about it and is aware of the fact that it is Lillian that is wrong?!). Lena is fantastic and I’m so glad I could relate to such a wonderful and giving character. She could go all Morgana and I would give her a hug and 10 puppies telling her she did an amazing job.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Kara. (She hasn’t interacted with many other people but Kara 100%)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Brotp? Brotp: Winn and Lena aka the small nerd squad.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t really think I have an unpopular opinion on her to be honest.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Supercorp become canon okay but seriously I want her to have friends, like real friends. Her and Winn need to be best friends and be super nerdy bros and bond over their love of science and technology and how smart they both are. Plus with how winn felt about his father could help, I want a scene where Lena is upset about her family and always being seen in their image and Winn comforts her - he tells her a story about his father and he doesn’t need to say much but her head falls to his shoulder and they just hug because 1) Lena needs all of the hugs and 2) she needs to be made to feel valid and appreciated by someone besides Kara. ISOLATION IS NOT A GOOD CHARACTER ARC!
