It would never be Lux’s favorite subject, death, but, in the intimacy of their quiet little room where he felt safe and warm, he would talk about anything with Safay. “What would you like to know about it?” he asked as calloused fingers swept silver strands from his face. 

Regardless of feeling completely at ease, gazing up into blue eyes without fear, there was so much suddenly.  So many questions, each one feeling vast and unknowable; as did the answers.  All laid out in front of him, in one way or another, and yet equally untouchable.  Even with Lux.

Where would he even begin?  The grander questions?  Did everyone find their peace in death? Did judgement truly happen?  Was the world worth saving?

Safay took a shuddering breath before raising his hands to cup Lux’s face.   “No, I… don’t need to know, I suppose.  Not like this.  Just tell me I’ll always know you somehow.”

“I’ve been fine! Bahamut hasn’t called me back in some time, but that doesn’t really surprise me.” The messenger grinned as he laced his fingers behind his head and teetered back on his heels. “Have you been busy?”

 “That’s my elder brother for you. Always abandoning people when they call.” Ifrit rolled his eyes. He knew too well such matters. 

“As for myself? I’ve been well. Sleeping dormant at the bottom of a volcano as one does.” She said that as if everyone did it, like casually talking about the weather. “Even gods need our beauty rest.”

“I searched through dozens of them to find the perfect one,” he admitted with a grin.

Somnus stared down at the flower again, blinking owlishly. He went out of the way for him? Uh...? Hm. Hm... Sweet but he was still really confused. 

“You didn’t have to go out of the way for me like that,” he murmured. “But, again, thank you. I’ll be sure to treasure it.”

He is absolutely touching his hair. Don't mind him!

          Apollo blinks, tilting his head carefully in order to consider Lux without pulling away. It’s like looking into a miniaturized mirror, “.....oh. um...” 

         On the upside, the fingers in his hair do feel nice. Sighing, Apollo settles into a more comfortable slouch and tips his scalp into the investigating touch. He murmurs, “...you’re very pretty..”
