Ruby eyes peer back up at the older mobian, glowing faintly in the dark. The rest of her form was washed in the pale moonlight, turning golden fur to a faint silver. Her arms wrapped around herself lightly in order to brace herself against the evening chill. Maria was tiny compared to the snake, she had every reason to be afraid of him. Yet... she wasn’t.

Her head tilts at the words, looking thoughtful. 

“ ... Maybe it is a little selfish, I don’t know, ” The hedgehog murmurs, smile sad. She looked down at her dress, hair falling in her face. “ Even violent strangers are people too. People with hopes and dreams... I grew up never getting to live mine. In a way, I feel like.. I understand them somehow. Different as we may be. ”

Oghj. Sonic can tell right from the get-go this guy had a weird vibe to him, and the hedgehog isn't so sure he wants to hang around too long. This cobra seems like the brain picking type, and blue blurs were not fond of having their brains picked.
