The wooden girl did not arrive walking:
there she was suddenly sitting on the bricks,
old flowers of the sea covered her head,
her expression had the sadness of roots.
There she stayed looking at our open lives,
the going and being and setting and returning through the land,
the day bleaching its gradual petals.
She watched over without seeing us, the wooden girl.
The girl crowned by the ancient waves,
there she looked with her defeated eyes:
she knew that we lived in a remote web
of time and water and waves and sounds and rain,
not knowing if we exist or if we are her dream.
This is the story of the girl made of wood.
