Patient Parents
When I was younger, I didn’t understand why my father would never argue back with my mother. My mom likes things a certain way and is very organized. She also speaks her mind a lot and doesn’t back down from a good discussion (poor dad). I am like this as well. I love to have good healthy discussions from time to time. That’s why I never understood why my dad always let my mom have her way and he didn’t push back. I thought it was weak.
Over time I learned that real power doesn’t hide behind winning a discussion. Real power is knowing when discussions are worth it. My dad never really had discussions unless it was about subjects he really cared about like: family, health, helping people and mindfulness. This is a trait I got from him.
One day I asked my dad if he didn’t hate the useless discussions people had (including he and my mom). He said: “sometimes it’s better to just let people blow off steam and continue. Your mom is a very fierce woman so she sometimes needs to let that energy go and then she is back to normal. A lot of people want to win discussions because it makes them feel powerful and important. Most of the time it’s better to sit back and let them do their thing. It’s better knowing what’s healthy, not what’s right because some things are not right or wrong, they just simple are”. I swear I am blessed with wise parents.
Letting people talk doesn’t mean they’re walking all over you. It means that you can pick your battles and some things are simply not worth your energy. That energy is better used for different things. All that toxic energy also blocks your good energy and don’t let people get your good energy!

The active principle of the Round is known as karma or "conditioned action," action, that is, arising from a motive and seeking a result - the type of action which always requires the necessity for further action. Man is involved in karma when he interferes with the world in such a way that he is compelled to go on interfering, when the solution of a problem creates still more problems to be solved, when the control of one thing creates the need to control several others. Karma is thus the fate of everyone who "tries to be God." He lays a trap for the world in which he himself gets caught.
