Reasons why Snape is a shit and I hate him. Part 5

5. The Remus/Sirius/Peter situations

- He did the equivalent of outing Remus, he told the everyone that Remus was a werewolf after he had kept that as his most guarded secret his entire life

- Also in later years, Remus is referenced to as "the werewolf Remus Lupin" in the prophet which shows that not only did Snape make sure to tell the students but he also told the whole of the wizarding world

- Snape knew the prejudices that come along with lycanthropy and he still told everyone, effectively ruining Remus's life (since he won't get a job, had to quit his current job, shunned from the wizarding world, completely disgraced and receiving death threats)

- And why did he do this? Because he was upset that he didn't get an award for sentencing an innocent man to a fate worse than death

- Let's also talk about that for a sec, Snape worked for Voldemort until the very end (even if he was a double agent) and he obviously knew about the plot to kill the Potters since he asked for Lily not to be killed. Regarding this, Snape would have known about Peter being the traitor but as far as we know he never told anyone any of this. So bearing this in mind, Snape knew that Sirius was innocent from the start, even Dumbledore is presented to not have known, and he was okay with letting an innocent man rot in the worst prison in the world for 12 years

- Meanwhile Snape was able to get out on nothing, despite him being everything but innocent. He let Sirius lose everything, the real traitor walk free and Remus to be alone without his found family for most of his life

- Okay maybe Snape didn't know that Peter was still alive and if he didn't know that then maybe he would've thought Sirius deserved it, but to with hold the information for the reasoning behind it, which effectively would've made it understandable and more accept in the wizarding world is unbelievable

- Back on the Remus thing, Remus was nothing but nice to Snape in his adult years (obviously he had decided to move on from childish shit unlike Snape) but Snape still insulted Remus, ruined his life, commented on his lifestyle before he had ruined it, and tried to convince Dumbledore not to hire him in the first place

- Also Remus never really did anything to Snape, he just didn't stop others doing it and he said that he appreciated Snape help with making the wolfsbane potion but Snape still treated him like shit
