Plant of the Day
Wednesday 6 August 2025
This small hardy perennial is most likely to be Lychnis flos-cuculi 'Nana' (ragged robin), a compact form of the plant of wet meadows in Europe, including Britain. It has a gently spreading habit forming a low rosette of blue-green, lance shaped leaves. Short stems carrying small, frilly pink flowers from May onwards.
