First of all, “the view between villages” for everlark is perfect. But i’d love to know more about your empire for two hunt scene 👀
i know i know rosey!! given that you're currently also obsessed with stick season by noah kahan i knew you'd understand the feeling of the view between villages. ive had it on repeat when writing this fic (a reunion modern au kind of fic, they meet again after 10 years or so apart)
then for empire.... if you've read the latest chapter you'll see that there's mention of a hunt that the starks and mormonts will go on a little bit before rickon and lyanna's wedding.
so those chapters are before, during and after the hunt. i've already got quite a bit written. it should take place as from chapter 10. here is a little snippet of rickon and lyanna DURING said hunt:
He hadn’t meant to stumble upon her. As characteristic as it would be, he did not mean to catch her unawares. In truth, he had simply been following Shaggydog’s trail on a doe.
As his wolf carefully eyed his prey, Rickon’s eyes traced out the long braid that fell down her back and the bow that hung loosely in her hand. The arrow in her hand twirled idly as she searched the passing stream.
She stood still, if it weren’t for the wind caressing her hair and the calculating arrow, he would have thought she were carved onto stone by a skilled chisel.
With no movements on his side, Lyanna readied her weapon, aiming to the stream until a swift turn, and she released a shaft at him. Instinctually moving to the side with Shaggy’s growl, the arrow noisily hit into a tree a few steps behind him, sending the doe to the opposite direction.
Rickon watched his wolf stalk off and began in Lyanna’s direction with his heart racing but nevertheless a grin on his face. “You missed,” he mocked, watching her bow fall to her side again.
“I didn’t,” Lyanna replied. She glanced to the stream again before giving up on it and staring at him instead. “It’s unwise to not have your weapon ready.”
With his crossbow weighing heavily on his back, “Why should I be armed when I have you?” Rickon questioned. The mirth in his tone trickled like the water rushing through the stream and he felt the blood in his veins do the same. He certainly wasn’t unarmed, and he knew more than any other that his arrogance was foolish in the Wolfswood, but he walked on further, closing the distance between them as he still felt Shaggydog nearby.
