Jackson rubbed at his chin out of sheer, utter boredom. He looked around his living room and watched television for a bit before he decided he was wasting his time, since he could barely pay attention to the screen. He felt restless, and antagonistic, and that was never a good combination, but he didn’t know what else to do.
He figured that he should have come up with a solution now, since this had happened nearly every single time he finished filming, whether it was a tv show, a movie, or a surprise appearance in a music video or late night talk show interview. A part of him always felt the need to be doing something, and when he wasn’t - as he was now - the overactive part of his brain that was constantly on overdrive and preparing for roles lashed out. He had just finished filming his starring role in Shiners, which he had completed a few months after his supporting role in The Age of Innocence had wrapped, but he had nothing scheduled next, and hadn’t bothered looking. There was a reason he had hired Erica to be his agent, and if she couldn’t find anything for him, then his career was more or less down the toilet.
Jackson wandered around for a little while longer before he eventually took a seat at his desk and logged on to check his email. An idea sparked a moment later, as he checked over the alerts that had his name mentioned. One was a hype message about Shiners, Jackson’s character Joshua being raved over as ‘sarcastically hilarious’ and ‘too good to miss watching’. He huffed in amusement, screencapping the messages and saving them. He’d send them to his father; his dad always got a huge kick out of seeing what the media wrote about Jackson.
One of the links opened up to a chat room discussion about the movie, and Jackson perused quietly, remaining silent as he read other people’s messages. Eventually, he clicked out of the room, but something made him pause. Moving to the search bar, he quickly typed in ‘Shiners message board chat’ and tilted his head at the surprising amount of results that had come up, before choosing one and entering. A grin playing at the corner of his lips, he listed his screen name as ‘joshuaeverborn,’ then tapped his chin thoughtfully before writing, ‘Joshua is such a badass. I wish I could be like him.’ He snorted, letting out a little cackle, before he punched the ‘enter’ button and saw the message shoot up onto the screen.
