Thinking Back to Cali: Lynmar Estate Winery
Lynmar Estate Winery is a highly-recommended wine tasting stop for two reasons... the wine and the setting. We enjoyed everything we tasted and bought a case of Lynmar Rosé. The grounds have a gorgeous outdoor patio with stunning views and lush gardens... perfect for savoring your tasting. Bring a camera!
It may be foggy out, but it's still a beautiful view. Come out for a tasting of delicious #pinot and say hi! We're open 'til 4:30! #lynmar (at Lynmar Estate Winery)

I don’t intend to start this on a maudlin note, but I can’t actually remember the last time someone bought me a Valentine. (Wait, I take that back, I think it was it was in second grade and in retrospect I should have appreciated it more.) But I’m led to believe by the media that Valentine’s Day includes certain inevitable rituals. If you’re one of these lucky Valentine’s people, this Thursday there will probably be some kind of dinner, flowers and possibly candy (likely chocolate). In addition to all of that, your evening should almost certainly include a fine bottle of wine. But why, what actually makes wine the right choice for a romantic evening?
Well, here’s the thing. Wine more than an other beverage is the perfect enhancer of social experiences. It relaxes us in a specific way, helping us slow a racing mind and better enjoy people and situations in the moment. Wine is a catalyst, with the power to transform situations. It helps us talk to each other openly and maybe even listen a bit closer. The right wine can a make a special occasion, but only when shared with the right special someone. Don’t get all snobby about it, just open something you want to try with someone you love and see what happens. I may not be qualified to advise on any other aspect of your love life, but maybe I can help you choose the right wine to help make your Valentine’s Day sparkle a little bit brighter.
Below are picks for a number of different “types” that may help you choose the right wine for your big night. Not sure which category your honey fits into? Go for The Romantic — it’s hard to go wrong there.
