STRANGER THINGS ENDING REWRITE!!
heres the ending/final battle to stranger things that I thought was gonna happen and was very disappointed didn't happen☹️ THIS IS NOT FANFICTION, I just wanted to spout out what I thought was gonna happen in the finale. If anyone does want to use the plot I made for some fanfiction go ahead just tag me so I can read it!!
I thought that will, kali, and eleven would team up and fight Vecna, with El and kali serving as mentors for will. Vecna would have used the same thing that was done to will when he was taken on the kids that the demogorgons took, to them super powers like will. they would be WAY weaker because they're just getting their powers and are so young.
the kids and el,will, and Kali fight, with the latter only defending them selves, because they dont want to hurt the kids. but holly, being like an undercover agent or smth, uses her powers to help el and them win. I think because holly the heroics power was to open portals or smth she would open portals to get the kids out of the upside down(will and el and Kali can use their stronger telekinesis to throw them in), and none of them are strong enough or know how to open portals to get back there. (or Holly convinces them to go rogue)
they then go to attack the mind flayer, and the rest of them (everyone else who was in the canon final battle scene) do various things to distract him(I was thinking Robin and Steve and dustin would do a noise distraction with dustin playing guitar to pay homage to Eddie)
sooo ig just battle battle battle till they're about kill Vecna (I was thinking of the mind flayer kind of like a parasite that infects people but only has this amount of reach because of Vecna powers, idk abt dnd but I thought the idea was fun) so they are about to land the final blow of Vecna when he's like, "dont you realize? your so caught up in your own bloodthirst you don't realize your killing one of your own!!!!! " and eleven looks behind her to see will on his knees, visibly in pain.
he kept it hidden throughout the majority of the battle but during the battle you quietly stop seeing clips of him and instead he's blurred in the background, struggling to stand or smth. they have to make the choice of killing will or letting Vecna live. they are going to let Vecna live but will manages the strength to get up and kill him, lying closely beside him after and crying. he's dying but he tells Vecna some short speech about how he won and Vecna doesn't get to control him anymore. Mike tries to revive will but he cant. the generally same thing happens with the upside down exploding but instead it's Kali sacrificing herself.(also I forgot to add but the kids are okay because Vecna didn't have as strong of a hold on them as he did on will, because he's been infecting will for longer, the kids just have to go to the hospital for a "stomach bug")
if ur into Byler here's an ending that could be added: after wills funeral Mike is kneeling in front of wills head stone, crying. he confesses his feelings. "I'm so sorry will...i couldn't save you...I should've told you, I never told you-" he's sobbing "I think that- fuck. will I love you. way more than I should..." something along those lines and he here's a twig break behind him. horrified, he quickly turns around and sees Robin. she looks heart broken, realizing wills love was requited and he would never know. Mike begs her not to tell anyone what he said and Robin agrees. She decides not to break down Mike even more, and doesn't tell him how will felt.
also an alternative ending where will lives, Holly finds out she has healing powers after seeing how sad everyone is, and channels everyone's love for will to help her, healing will and later healing max as well!! I had more ideas but this idea has the most continuity
