Draco: Good morning, Princess
Lyra: Daddy,if I am the princess, then mommy is the queen.
Hermione: Oh Thank you, darling.
Draco: Then I must be the King. Right, Sweetheart?
Lyra: No Crookshanks is the King.
Lyra: You are the royal servant, Daddy.
13 - Anakin and Padme // rescue mission
@dhrmonth
Lyra and Scorpius, arms bound, and heads covered by a ruck sack, walked down what they could only make out was a labyrinthic hall escorted by what could only be two Death Eater soldiers, based on the number of steps echoing overhead.
"𝐌𝐮𝐦'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤."
"𝐎𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐈 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧?"
"𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 -"
"𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐩."
Mind reading had always been something they were able to do for as long as they could remember. Their mother said it was a rare trait magical twins had in their paternal family line.
Lyra also always had a sixth sense. She could detect an individual's magical energy if she concentrated enough. It was that ability that brought them here, in Death Eater territories, trying to find their uncle who was captured during an operation three weeks ago.
"𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩, 𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. 𝐖𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬."
"𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨-"
Their bodies were suddenly dragged to an open room and were made to sit down. A dangerous presence walked inside and in front of them and they both curled their bodies inward, frightened. They surmised it was the High Reeve.
"What is this?", the High Reeve asked, his tone menacing.
"We found them lurking in the shadows in Annex 3, Sir. We figured they're from the Order.", one masked soldier explained.
The High Reeve's angry voice filled the room. "They look like children."
"Th-they 𝘢𝘳𝘦 children, Sir.", the soldier squeaked.
The High Reeve mumbled a curse, and the twins could hear the soldier screaming and writhing in pain on the floor.
The bags covering their heads were yanked off.
....
Draco took in the faces of the intruders and shock radiated from him as he took in their light blonde hair and blue-grey eyes that were similar to his.
And they looked at him like they were seeing a ghost. A look passed between them, eyes communicating, confirming they also had inherited the unique Malfoy gift.
He let out an incredulous laugh because of course The Order lied to him when they said Hermione and the twins she carried had died.

Draco felt an overwhelming heaviness in his chest overcome him, but he stomped it out immediately. He needed to get them out.
His dark mark began to burn. Draco needed them out, now.
2 - Paris // post war au // reunion // 20-ish years after the battle of Hogwarts // hidden love child
@dhrmonth
Draco ran like he had never ran before. Chest heaving, heart pounding - he rounded the corner where he saw her turn.
Hermione Granger vanished like thin air after Voldemort had won the battle of Hogwarts.
It was then that Draco Malfoy - the youngest and most ruthless death eater - quickly climb the ranks and secretly teamed up with Harry Potter and The Order in finding and destroying the remaining horcruxes, successfully eliminating the Dark Lord forever.
Lungs burning, Draco didn't stop running until he was ten paces away from her.
Untamed, light blonde hair tied in a loose braid, pale smooth face and tiny freckles adorning her cheeks, the girl- no, young woman- beamed at the store sign before going inside the small bookshop. A choked laugh escaped his lips because of course their little girl loved books as well.
When Hermione disappeared, Draco looked for her far and wide. He believed his parents had something to do with it - but the remains of a mangled girl wearing her clothes fished from the fiendfyre cast by Dolohov was the last nail on the coffin. Hermione Granger - war heroine, brightest witch of her age, wizarding world's Golden Girl - was proclaimed dead that very day.
Years and years of agony, of sorrow, of grief flooded him as he stood at the bookshop's doorway.
With trembling hands, Draco turned the knob and followed the young woman inside- the tinkling noise of the chimes filling the bookstore. A familiar voice spoke softly and it was like a thousand daggers pierced through his heart.
"Lyra, dear, you're here early. How was the term? Did the other professors in Beauxbaton treat you well? ". Hermione. Draco could never forget her voice. The sweet voice that haunted him every night.
"Qui, Maman. The new students just came in. I am so excited to teach tomorrow.", the young woman replied.
And then Hermione turned and her eyes met his.
He studied her face, the wrinkles behind her eyes gained through the years only defining her still beautiful features. Draco's vision blurred and he quickly blinked them away. He could tell that she, like him, was also holding back tears.
Both Draco and Hermione took a hesitant step forward -
The melodic sound of the chimes welcomed another person inside. The boy - no, young man- draped his arms around Draco's shoulders affectionately.
"Dad, there you are! What are you - "
The young man's eyes drifted to the two women in front of them, taking in their new but familiar features. His eyes went wide with recognition.
Tentatively, the younger woman moved to where the two men stood.
"Hello, my name is Lyra Granger and that's my mum, Hermione Granger.", she said boldly.
"Lyra...", Hermione warned. Lyra only smiled brightly.
Scorpius' mouth twinned hers and replied, "Hello, Lyra, I'm Scorpius Malfoy. My dad is single, and he never moved on from his first and only love."
Draco did not contradict him.
The older adults looked between the two, taking in their similar features despite the difference in age. Moments of silence passed before Lyra cleared her throat.
"So, Scorpius- like the constellation- would you and your," - Lyra choked down a sob before continuing- "fa-father like to join us for lunch?"
Scorpius' smile broadened. "Yes, Lyra -like the constellation- we would be delighted."
Lyra: *6 years old* I don't wanna die. I have kissed only one boy so far.
Draco: WHAT ?!
Lyra: Relax. It was a long time ago.
Hermione: Are you relaxed now, Draco ?
Draco: *visibly scared* I have never been more stressed out in my life.
