Part 1/9 of my Lyric Project
Cadman "Clove" King -- Keeper of Truth
Sneak peak of me being REALLY extra and doing like three versions of the lyrics assignment (cause I'm in love w this project)
I made a hand out of plaster!! Couldn't have done it without my friend journey tbh she's the hand the plaster went on lol. Not exactly sure how it's gonna turn out yet but!!! I'm proud of the hand for the most part.
Here's the super blurry thumbnail sketches for the project cause hey why not.
The project was to pick a song (for the thumbnail sketches we needed three) and choose some lyrics then make a piece that conveys the emotion of the song.
The first song at the top is emergency, the lyrics were "a wasted life seems to mean the most, but these seconds are valuable. Breathe in change, or let it go, and breathe." (I honestly didn't put much effort into the sketch but the idea was leaves falling to the ground with a clock face on the front of the ones midair. Kind of representing the passage of time. Cool idea, shitty sketch lol)
Second/middle is the one I'm doing (can you tell I put the most effort into that thumbnail lmao rip) and obviously, it's take this lonely heart, "I've got a circle of ink, it's in the palm of my hand, and I think it'll be there for good"
And then the last/bottom is broken machine, "I'm just a broken machine, with all the layers of dust, some things have started to fail" (If is done this one I was thinking of maybe making it like, a mechanical hand w a glitch effect.)
All nothing but thieves cause I love this band tbh
idk if i should use the original newsies soundtrack or the broadway one for my lyric project. on one hand, the original is the original. on the other hand (imo) the broadway one is better and has more songs/interest
that's perfectly fine & understandable! just thought i'd ask :)!! i'll send more recs as the week goes! thank you again for this cool ass project :)

Thank you so much!! Honestly, give me as much as you want! When I release it, I'll 100% still be taking requests, so even if this stuff doesn't make it on before release, it will certainly make it on after.
(Turn Off the Lights by Panic! At the Disco. Images reference That Human Incident, though the song is fitting in a wider sense as well. Part of my currently-abandoned lyric project over on my main blog.)
Inktober 6th: Lyric Project Lyrics are from “Turn Off the Lights” by Panic! At the Disco. I like the composition and text on this one, but made a mess of the inking process. I’d destroyed the paper working on the sketch so it didn’t like taking on water, which was annoying. But mostly I didn’t take my time and make sure that I preserved the shape of Diamond’s face and expression, and I made his eye too dark/bright. Live and learn I suppose! Since I liked it much more, though, the sketch is below the cut.
