I am finally done! First of all, thank you to @backpack-mug for making me the pattern after I got so caught on my ancient original draft. It was a pleasure to work with!

And also thank you to @herearedragons for encouraging me to just go absolutely ham on everything, you were right. <3

Overall I'm quite happy how it turned out! The border isn't as neat as I would have liked but it did kinda make me tempted to try and do a multicoloured chain stitch piece at some point. Also I once again fucked up cutting the fabric, take it from me my friends, if you do an embroidery piece, but more than double the size you actually need or sewing it in will be nigh on impossible. But in general I think the vibe is good. I'm also glad I remembered I have about 5 tons of small pearls lying around cause I think those in Waidwen's hair also look quite nice. The colour blocking on the father could have turned out better but despite having 300 different shades of thread lying around there was just not that much brown. Oh well.

Eventually I'll get to part three, I do already have some ideas, but for now I think I need a break.

Final dress reveal! I am so so happy with how this turned out. I actually can't believe its finally done. I did the math and the very loose probably lowball estimate of how much time it took to finish all the layers of this dress is 470 hours which just blows my mind.

As a final step I did whip together a mini stomacher so I can actually wear the skirts over the corset like its supposed to be. I wanted it to look similar enough to the corset so it'll blend in and look similar to the original princess and the pauper dress.

When i say the difference this makes to the comfort of the gown is astounding believe it. Historical dresses are made this way for a reason so im glad i had enough time to make the stomacher so I can actually wear the gown in the correct order.

I'll be sharing more photos of the dress actually being worn from renfaire eventually, as well as my friends princess gown that she made and my sisters costume that I made for this year as well!
