Ahhh yes please let’s do the “Lysander could've maybe interviewed her or something on one (or a number) of his trips through the south” thing like you said!!! I’m sure Lia would love to ramble on and on about all the bullshit she’s been through with men and hey maybe Lysander could have written it down and accidentally used it as inspiration for a play or s/t. Her life seems like a Twelfth Night meet Les Mis sort of thing. Maybe he didn’t even intend on interviewing her, but Lia is a hella good barmaid (btw) and she got him to drink a lot and through the course of the night Lysander listened to her talk and he wrote scribbles down on napkins and then when he woke up with a wicked hangover the next morning, she had stuffed his pockets with the scraps of ideas. #hella cute

Between moving to the north and Lysander being the traveler that he is, I’m guessing that they have crossed paths at some point??? I feel like Amia would definitely love his work (ofc) but I don’t think she’s 100% sold on Rowena. I think a huge part of that is obvi b/c her bro was a dragon rider and she knew that he was not in on some plot to kill Rowena and even if the other were, the fact that she killed all of them, regardless, speaks volumes. And I think that paired with the state of things makes Amia less of a fan. (That being said, she def doesn’t think Rowena is as bad as she is, she just thinks that she should be doing a better job of it).

Truth | Lysander & Safira

The Two Crowns was her best place of business. This time of the evening, the only patrons who still lingered where the ones who were out of luck and were content to drink away their sorrows. She was there to offer them a different solution: whatever they wanted. For a price, of course. 

Her dark eyes scanned the scene until they settled on a the man in the corner who sat by himself. He was not drinking like the others, rather his attentions were wrapped up in whatever it was he was writing. 

Safira smiled to herself. She knew him. He was Rowena's herald: proclaiming her glory and kindness to every corner of the kingdom. She wondered if he knew how much of it was a lie? If she knew Rowena, he did not. 

She decided to lift the veil from his eyes. 

She knew that the chances that he would believe her, were slim. He knew a great deal and would surely be able to deduce who she was. Her reputation did not always inspire trust. But she took comfort in the fact that one day, he would know that she had been telling him the truth and he chose to ignore it. 

"I wonder," She said, approaching his table and raising a finger to rest beneath her chin, "Should you care to hear a tale about your Queen from when she was a young woman?"

she def loves her nephew lysander but thinks he's an idiot. and she is so conflicted b/c his poetry is so pretty but it's also WRonG so ... I feel like she's like "hey come up and have some tea and read me one of those" and then when he does she's like "ugh, no skip to the next one ... " anD BASIcally wanting ike anything but ROWENA IS THE GREATEST PERSON b/ c no.

So, I don't think that Danyl was around the last time that Lysander showed up in the north, so I doubt they've met?? Anyway, the next time Lysander comes round, he will probs come out of hiding if he comes down into the kitchens and give Tom a royal heart attack by talking with Lysander and pretending to be another servant and probs saying things like "oh i've stolen lots of things .... " *dramatic pause* "... hearts mostly" or idk something dumb like that just so he can watch his cousin sweat while he talks to an actual stafford #facepalm

Pub Crawl | Will & Lysander

Will took the steps two at a time as he ran up to the small set of rooms that Lysander had rented for himself. It had been two days since he had seen his friend as Lysander had been hard at work writing his latest epic. But Will had decided that he had had enough of that and that he ought to spend tonight with friends.

He didn't bother knocking and found Lysander hunched over a desk, quill in hand, with a meal resting in the corner that had most likely been there since midday and had gone untouched. 

Was all this really so fascinating that he forgot to eat? Will wondered. 

"Come on. You and I, are going down to the Two Crowns." He said, "I've been told that Rose is going to be there tonight," He said, picking up an untouched apple off of Lysander's plate and biting into. "So of course, so must I." He finished, grinning like a silly lad of one and ten.

He looked over his friend's shoulder at the pile of notes that were sprawled across the desk. "Whatever you are working on can certainly wait until tomorrow. It can't be that important." He said, "Unless, of course, you are finally writing something about me and in that case, carry on." He was teasing him of course; there was little enough to be said of him now. Oh, he meant to have such grand adventures one day that his friend would be able to write about him alone for the rest of his life, if he so choose.

He just hadn't had any yet.
