Haha, thank you!! I was going to have a drink last night, but my insides warned me that that would be a bad idea, so I put my drink in the fridge so I can have it tonight. Hopefully, my body will let that happen lol.

My Mom is blind, and she uses small stick-on bits of Velcro. You can get them at most fabric shops and you can put either the fuzzy part or the hook parts to make different textures. She went blind late in life and never learned braille, just relies mostly on memory!

That’s clever! It’s probably a bit too much for keys I’m going to be hitting frequently, though.

fine glitter nail polish maybe. or braille keyboard stickers, then you can multitask and learn braille :)

That is a cool idea but a little overkill, haha. I only need to have three or four keys marked for gaming purposes.

I didn’t even occur to me plastic modelling cement is a thing, but... of course it is. I think that’d work - probably in just little dabs by itself, since my fingers are pretty sensitive and too big a nub would just hurt.

@lysikan @ovalsilver - Thanks! I’ve calmed down some by now, and decided to go with a combo of sopping up as much remaining water as possible with towels (to go straight into our washer!) plus the heater and open window approach.

With everything opened that I reasonably can, the cleaning product smell isn’t as strong as it was earlier. Hopefully this will help get rid of more of it soon, besides the squelchy floor.

@quill-of-thoth - I actually considered trying to mop the floor with some baking soda, to try and get some of the lingering smell gone. But, besides both the shoulders acting up today? We only have a small container of it, exactly like a baking powder can. That’s the standard packaging here. Not so popular as a cleaning product, maybe because there isn’t bicarbonate mining like in the US. Though, that does remind me to order another 2kg bag of the stuff off eBay or similar *wry smile*

I think part of it was the implication that all pedophiles are child abusers (most aren't - they know they have a problem and avoid situations where it might become real). Most child abusers are NOT pedophiles, as you pointed out, they're just opportunists looking for a victim, but you hurt a lot of people who are trying not to harm children by implying that they will.

That... is a possibility, and to those people, I’m sorry. I had meant to address that particular point with actual stats and evidence to show that this is not the case long before now, but... I haven’t been in a healthy place to do research and technical reading for a while now, and here I am inadvertently pushing the opposite. I’m sorry to anybody I’ve hurt; I’ll try to adjust my wording when I’ve got the spoons to look at that post again. (It... takes a lot to engage with.)

FACT:While an episode of Pokemon (Dennou Senshi Porygon, AKA Electric Soldier Porygon) did lead to 685 children being sent to hospitals due to physical symptoms, very few of those children were found to have any form of epilepsy, and all but two of them (who were hospitalized for over two weeks, but did recover) recovered very quickly--in fact, less 200 were actively hospitalized, with most of them recovering during the ambulance ride. Unfortunately, this still had a negative effect on the franchise--the show was put on hiatus in Japan for four months, and Porygon and its evolutions have not made any major appearances in the anime since then...even though the infamous flashing lights came from Pikachu, not Porygon.

probly would get better responses if you put your post into your post instead of into the tags, since tags do not get carried over with reblogs so anyone responding in a reblog will look stupid for responding to things you didn’t put in your post. But is up to you - if you don’t want reblogs this was a good way to do it.

look probably. I normally just go with tags because I feel very anxious about talking about issues. I haven’t much experience with people reblogging my things anyway. I get too scared of the attention drawn to me, but thank you for the advice!
