what is your character's favorite memory?
Kayn has his own fair share of good memories, so there isn't one that Is his favourite. It could be about the time he healed a little fox's leg when he was very small, and taking care of It for some time.
Or the time him and the Orphans at Black Swan stole some chocolate during winter.
Or even more recent ones, such as meeting the gang for the first time, and some precious moments he had in his later time with Ruri. There's quite a lot.
what is your favorite thing about your character?
Honestly, everything. From personality to motivation, to morals and anything around him. Not only he's honestly outstandingly caring, and all around very sweet, even to those who severely hurt him.
He thinks there's enough in anyone to change, or becoming the best they could, and he does think that for the longest time. Those beliefs do tremble throughout his journey, and does lode hope in some individuals.
At first, It was devestating, but with time being, he comes to terms that not everyone can be saved.
That there's always going to be people that should just be left to rot.
Even if he'll have the single shred of respect for them, he slowly wouldn't do anything to prevent them for death.
Not all lives, even if innocent, can be saved, and that's just how It Is.
But even then, at that realization, he still does much and even more to prevent that. There's still time where that majorly fails, and brings him to despair, and other times where he succedes.
He just wants to secure everyone, as he's physically pretty weak, so making sure whoever around him Is fine, Is what he aspires to do. To not let anyone soccomb to what he had to endure.
To give protection to those who deserve a second chance they never got to get. I would like to go on on this but i feel like I'm being too much in his favour, SHOU COME HERE YOU FUCKER

Yes,, ESPECIALLY Rui and Lyva.
For context, since this part of the story Is the big post one and Is rather old, Shou invited them to his shrine, as a way to corner them and seeing if they were worthy. Some stuff goes in the way and he gets so enranged to actually try to murder them, and even if It ends up in a draw, Shou still gave quite a lot of damage. Physical, and unkowingly emotional.
He does grow up, and we can see that happening in our current Shou. He does end up being more of a good person, even if still sort of tied to the past. Lyva and him do get some moments, especially after she leaves Myst and Is devastated by that. He's the last one to give her support, purely because she's avoided him ever since the meeting.
With Rui,, they were pretty chill anyways, so they weren't as hostile. As long as he gave them shiny stuff and didn't steal any of gems, they were fine.
what is your character's least favorite memory?
Anything regarding his time with his mother, which Is ironic since he does pity her afterwards. Especially, the moments when he was a very little kid. Also the time he hid the fact he was a trans man BUT WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT

how did your character meet their best friend?
It was the time moon was freed. In fact, Myst was the one actually doing the talk with them, as Kerei was too busy studying for objects to break it's mirror spell. So before that, they both did bond, even if in a short time.
After moon gets their physical form back, it's helped by him, who despite the,, y'know, height difference, did a very good job. When Echo later joins them, Myst and Eris do team up just to purely annoy him, since It was far more interesting than what Kerei had.
Eris also empathises with Myst losing a 'lover', since she never actually confessed to Lyva yet, and gives him enough support. They occasionally talk about moons old darling, and some little things they had.
what is your character proud of?
Being worthy enough to be back there, on earth, even if that took a very much amount of time. Even if Eris Is not as powerful as it was before, they're doing their best to better up, and be useful for those around them.

Chaotic situation. She's more of the type of person to "fuck around find out", so in this case It would be Ideal for her. She doesn't work well with already planned plans, and often they don't work out as expected.
She also can't focus on doing one thing straight so having more free option Is great for her.

I mean,, Shou ain't that healthy overall, let alone his "punishments" he inflicted to himself, and since he Is still growing to get over them, they're still there. He doesn't have fully healthy coping mechanisms, and he prefers to hide them to avoid anything said otherwise.
He doesn't want to search for help either, not only cus it's really difficult to find, especially in the state he's in, but also because he fears It would bring even more missconceptions, and he wants to avoid them.

They have mixed feelings. On one end, they do like lil kids, and did vibe quite a lot with a bunch of them, and taking care of their little brothers and sisters helped to It.
But,, at the same time, they do have not so pleasent experiences that automatically make them having such a strong dislike in them.

Almost anything really, and usually does too. His sense of humour Is all over the place, and as such she's the type of person to laugh for deez nuts jokes. Almost anything joke, n he'd be laughing like a hyena.
Sometimes she also cracks a joke in the joke, so (hopefully) the other party would join her dumbassery.

She doesn't consider much of herself, but She recognize she's probably the friendliest, among Qiran, in the gang, and it's a plus when the other ones are either introverted or planning to do some shady stuff.
She's recognized this after getting the hang of them, since before she ran away, she thought It was just her not being able to make friends ever, rather than because of the circumstances she was in.
And since she didn't want to disappoint any of her future friends, she kept trying to distanciate.
That stopped when she met Myst and later on Rui, but if it wasn't for them, she would've been on her own. Kinda being similar to Echo before the curse kind of thing.

Overall he's pretty much in control? Like, he's really self aware of his limits and how weak he is so he would have somethin, but I think most of the times he'd still do somethin outta the blue. You're on a mission with him? He's gonna try and pet that little death servitor that just tried to kill ya. So yeah, even tho he knows n Is self aware he's still pretty damn much impulsive.
N also would do anything in his power to make ya feel as good as ya can n doesn't really have much regolation at that point- So really It depends on context/day.

They have like, a lil simile always with them. Like even when they're not doing/feeling anything special they still have a lil smirk w them. Plus they also wanna seem approachable so then again, I'm sayin that they'd have a sorta cheerful expression
📙Lyva-
I mean she doesn't really had that much of a profession. She would've liked being a medic but since she well, run away, she never got the occasion to nor the knowlege, so even though she enjoys being an adventurer with the gang she would've 100% liked studying abroad to learn more bout erbs rather than stopping some cult that got in the way.
But she'd help others trying to study something too.

Thecnically speaking they still had an own education, but I think that being a traveller influenced A LOT more their ways of talking/behaviour in general. In fact they do speak in a somewhat of an accent, though they can very much understand complex texts too.
But they do have a strong accent, or takin out words from phrases to sound more southern in a way or nother.
⚛️Naexi-
They feel absolutely great bout It, since It Is part of human behaviour too. Or part of some types of folktores. It's really interesting for her to understand how a religion in particular works.
Like why are the whorshipped gods painted like that? Why are the offerings in that specifical way? How Is that going to influence all of that? All of these combined in one, THAT Is something that Is really interesting for them.
I could ramble a lot bout It but i got other ocs to feed 😩
⚙️ Evelyn-
HOHIHOHO SO, it's very based of their appereance. Like that steam-punk vibe? Absolutely like that. Everything's on that whole topic and he's absolutely livin it. She also has lots of projects messed up in their room n it's just, really REALLY messy around. The only clean part Is Sunshine's cell (which being their cockatoo btw) that he cares bout.
The other parts of the house are based off like that and are much smaller.

He didn't really get an education of her own, but definetly like, if she did he would've 100% been that loudy and cheerfull classmate everyone seems to be Friends w. That's really the best way I could put It.

Aight, so here we go, be ready cuz shit's long.
(1st part - The Rui n the gang meeting; The Shou meeting) No Tw
Honestly, I also kinda wanted to do this for quite a long time, so I'm gonna firstly talk about how the gang (w/o really mentioning the others name's since they're gonna get introduced soon) met itself and decided to form, and then I'll individually do It in Lyva's and Shou's case, specifically Shou's since i mentioned that his meetin was somethin id have to take care of in another post, so i will rn.
First things first, w the whole gang. Now It wasn't really casually, mainly because Lyva n Rui did meet up, but It was during a special occasion still, that being a really important manifestation in one of the main regions in my oc universe. (They don't have name's yet so pls don't bash me🤡) Them being primarly the Forest, where Rui eventually lives in after all of his past shit, the near-countryside part, where Lyva was living, a pretty much city living on water, where Shou's currently living, and many more, as such the dunes with which I'll introduce Qiran (hopefully tomorrow/today),The sea itself, some High up places and as I said many, many other more. Other than this brief intro, they meet up where Lyva used to live, but mainly because of problems and out of conviniance.
Everyone had something to take back from, so they agreed to help eachother to reach that end, so it's all really planned. Now i won't really go w Lyva, cuz i explained how she met Rui the first time n how they helped her, so I don't need to ramble more on this. Now I'm gonna go w Shou's part though.
This Is more of a note i wanted y'all to know first, cuz i really like how Lyva n Rui met him the first time (cuz the second time was when the gang then all agreed to form n all that jazz.). Basically, Rui n Lyva were out, n visiting new places as such, to prepare themselves further and to try and search for more weapons, cuz they both knew that they'd eventually get in trouble, and even though they still are good, they wouldn't stand much a chance, n since Shou's Place is known for its production they decided to go. N fun fact, there's many funny shit that happends, for example Rui tries to touch a fish, but gets SLAPPED by It. They're still mad >:[. Ajkskdj anyways, some other stuff happends n they just, lose themselves. They had a map ofc but still managed to do so. But Rui was usin It so, I don't really blame em for gettin lost.
Shit happends n they find themselves pratically in front of his shrine/palace. Shou's servitors (cuz he saw everything happend from afar n gave them the okay) brought em in, but rather than makin em idk some tea n just making them recouver, Shou rather put them under some "tests" w/o tellin em, to see if they were any use.
For example he brought them some cups of tea, but before drinking them Rui noticed somethin unusual in the water, so they gave Lyva a sign to not drink It, n as Shou asked as a reason why they just replied that they weren't thirsthy, leavin Shou in a kind of defeated state. Bitch if i love this part honestly, there's so much fun to seein all of their reactions, but I'm gonna go brief rn. So other of this tests pass later n Shou eventually gets upset cuz they're all winnin n seemingly makin fun of him, lettin him in a weaket standpoint, n a fight happends. Even though it's a 2v1 situation he can still manage pretty well, so It ends in a draw. They get to talk after this and get to understand that they don't have to necesseraly be on the opposite side, though Shou Is still unsure whether to belive in that or not.
After they leave him, pratically almost alone w only a bunch of servitors helpin him. He admits defeat n won't show up until the event and yadayada. (Also it's during this weak time of his he'll meet Qiran which i already have plans w so it's all goin to be said bout their relationship in their post.)
(2nd part, the father mention.) Tw:father mention
So it's true that w Shou i did mention his father, but I'm not entirely sure bout his involvment honestly. In theory he kind of is a villain itself, even because of his devilish nature, so it's true, but im not sure whether to make him an independent villain or part of a group of them. But rather than that yes, i do want to make him some sort of villain in the end, because that's also part of Shou's agreement to be part of the group. I will make concept art for him so he'll definetly be involved. Not gonna lie, mabye that bastards also involved w Rui's cult too in a way or another but im givin in too many details holy shit I'll never get outta this fuck
(3rd part- where do they live) No Tw
They live in their own homes honestly, but It would be no surprise if they'd all decide to sleep over someone in specifical, though they have their own place. I made some concepts for Rui's intern home, which here It Is 😤 (forgive me for the bad quality but it's 2 am rn 🤡) I made this a while ago but only did Rui's, so I'll do Lyva's, Shou's n the other one's too. They live in different places, for the exception of, atm, Qiran, since I'm gonna say that they're more of a traveller n don't have a stable home.
(4th part- the mental/physical ilnesses) Tw: Self harm and Mental ilness mention
Well, this Is gonna be a ride. They all suffer from Ptsd, which Rui n Shou suffering from It the most. It still affects them all, though in different occasions, so Imma just do them in specifical. (Also because i gotta add some shit to shou that i didn't wanna add because i thought It was too much honestly)
Rui-
It affects them really much. They use crystals n gems to avoid anything going w their past or anything remotely related It, as whenever they feel awful about havin those flashbacks when they still were a child. They never want to talk about what happened, n during their moments It gets really, really bad. Both emotionally and physically, as their body sometimes cannot handle anything so it completely shuts down. They never really got any help for It as Rui's too scared to share bout their experience, both because of trauma itself that doesn't make them say anything even if they wanted to and because of the cults influence, so either way they've got to handle It by their own.
Lyva-
Other than havin to deal w mornin sickness, which Is the least for her, she has to deal w her neglectful childood and how desperate she's always been for litteraly anythin, whether it's related about love,friendship, food, toys, anything. She tried to seek for help and semi found It, but as of now she can't keep up w It and has better things to take care of. It's still really bad overall, but she's hoping for things to get better. Spoiler It really won't.
Shou-

It's... really fucking bad. I'm gonna get outta this w saying something i didn't want to add because it's really triggerin, but im gonna do It now. So basically, I've mentioned them acting feminenly for his own mother, but i didn't say what would've happened if he displeased her. She would just stare down at him and whispering some awful shit or names. This would happen especially whenever he'd slip off that mask of his or revealed even a tiny bit of his devilish essence. Note that he's still a child here. So, best thing he could to was to "punish" himself, which basically consists of him scratching his arms too much and, i don't really want to continue this, forgive me but it's kind of triggering even for me. But...you can guess what he's doing, since he even to this day still keeps sharp nails. I'm sorry for putting this, but it's another way to show how his mother fucked him up and now suffering from this.

There's many things he had great connections w, and for someone like him that cares bout litteraly anything and everything that is around him, It would be hard to settle down onto a specifical one.

She went into far more missions than Kayn ever did, and she did visit many places, other than sometimes resting in South Italy that Is.
She's mainly been used for abroad missions too, until the whole Japan thing started and she had to return back, and even if she stayed lil time there, she has a pin collection of every place, and occasionally shows it to close friends, and did It w Kayn after they got time to get along.
She also got the first pin, which her husband bought for her since she spent almost everything, and that does bring her some nostalgia bout It, in the good and in the bad.
Sometimes when she gets drunk, she'll start ramble bout every single embarassing moment she had there like it's nothin. And even when she'll wake up, Kida wouldn't do anythin to deny It.
Just, proudly stating that she did It.

They're mostly chill, kinda in everything, until it gets onto their interests.
They don't really care about being the best in a random task, like if that would change the world of something, but if that meant the safety/getting more gems, then oh boy, ya got the perfect contestant for ya.

They just can't even pin point way, it just, is.
And also if you'd tell them that they had to kill someone for gettin a diamond, they'll do It. That's how far and competitive they'd get for It. So in that case, absolutely.

She suffers normally of a morning sickness, and has to take some medication to treat some sounds she had even before getting into the gang, but other than that, she's pretty healthy.
I mean, both compared to the rest of the cast and ignoring some eating problems she had to get through of, but currently, she's doing just fine.
But she does have an allergy for some flowers, so during spring she has kinda an hard time alone.

Like, yeah he does have many traditional outfits, but that's mainly because he's more tied up to his family traditions that, even if they hurt him in the past, he can't let go of.
But, those do look good and he likes wearing these kinds of outfits, so it's fifty fifty.
Though it's safe to say that, the outfit he wears normally isn't really practical, considering in which events he gets into, but for him It doesn't really matter.
Basically just the "be depressed but well dressed".

Considering they've also been travelling through many different places, learning their coltures and sometimes having to learn their language, Qiran doesn't have a specifical accent, just, a mixture of almost anythin.
Though, if ya could hear them, you'd also get they're Southern, in a way or another.
They also tend to shorten words whenever they can, just to go straight up to the answer.

Absolutely almost any folk tail in human's history. They just have been so interested in that for even hundreds of years, she's just deeply sucked into them.

She doesn't do It often to people, even to those they're close to, and mainly ramble about It to their dolls.

He's mainly the one to bully rather than the bullied, but it's safe to say that if ya could really annoy them, It would be poking their making, or weapons per say.
In the sense that, she's really proud of them, and having those being unrighfully judged onto their eyes is really, REALLY frustrating to see.
Plus, since they're thecnically the least powerful member of the gang, it's normal that they Hide that feeling pretty well, under some teasings to subdoly vent bout It.
So even teasing him about that makes them really annoyed, since you'd 'invade" the space they created for herself.

She's most awake during the evening, or night that Is, since it doesn't have that much of a good concept of time and will go with anything that goes for her.
Though surprisingly, she's hardly tired, because she doesn't want to seem that weak even to itself, so even if she's gonna be a lil dizzy, she's almost always gonna be there.

Oh boy, here we go bitches.
So as an intro to this, I said bout last oc post in Qiran's part that their fam was full of mages n shit, but also some of em weren't, n since they do have magic istelf Imma do more parts (3 parts)
First part- how does It all work (Humans/Mages)
First of all, not all of em have a connection with magic, for example Evelyn doesn't at all while Lyva does but only through a magical item so It doesn't really count.
Other then that, if you're born you can either be born with some kind of magic, or simply not. It all depends from your family's lineage, for example If you come from a family of mainly rougues it's hard to get some kind of magical power, while if your parents have both some kind of power or even if it's only one of em, it's more likely you'll end up with something really similar, or a mixture of the two. (In case both of your parents have magical powers of any sort.)
It also depends on where you're living, for example If you'd be born from a cold place it's unlikely ya'd have magma magic rather than snow magic.
Between humans/mages the system Is kinda the same, but that does change for Hybrids/Demi gods/anything that isn't born between the same species.
Between humans/mages it's more of how their ancestors managed to treat its powers, as some got even destroyed for not being worthy of its usage, so If anything at this point and time they're lucky about getting somethin.
Mages are far more cautious about It, having both a lot of hidden knowlege about spells or even origins of some types of magic, though that being the most "common" ones, (for example fire, water ect.), because it's not only them of course, there's far more variants and all are different from eachother.
They can also get stronger by the worshipping of certain gods, which I don't think I will really talk about, at least in this post. (And also because they're still a wip of mine)
But the gang until now really never relied on any of them, or at least Lyva/Rui n Naexi never really did, while the others absolutely did. This Is also why I will do another post as a sorta of a part 2.
Anyways back on topic, most people in all parts of my oc world aren't used to worshipping anymore, or at least a great part of It, mainly because of a loss of knowlege about anything about them.
It's kind of taboo even mentioning most gods names, as they fear something will go wrong if they would (*ahem*being suspicious n allarmin the cult*AHEM*). In fact it's hard to get on most religions because the only remains of It are extremely either hidden, or destroyed in the meanwhile.
I wanna say that another reason because the worshipping stopped Is also because of Rui's cult. Yes, remember that?
It's gonna be talked about on its own post, but let's just say that for them, it's a safe way to restrain anyone knowing far too much about how everything works.
They're the only ones owning most stuff about different coltures to avoid having them against their side,
If there's no worshippers, no knowlege, n more weak magic because people don't strengthen them, who's gonna go against em? (It'll turn out to be the shittiest idea they've ever had but that really did work for the longest time.)
Oh I think i forgot to mention this, but since magic goes lineage to lineage, It also weakenens as generations pass by, as THAT'S the reason they absolutely need those texts.
That's also the reason most humans struggle w keepin magic. Mages can manage, though it's a small portion, since sometimes not even what they've learned over generations works anymore.
Second part- how does It all work (Hybrids/Demi gods n stuff)
Oh boy, so, I'm also gonna use Shou n Naexi a lot here, so bear w me. As I said earlier, it's different from em, since it's not about lineage at all.
Apart that the union between different species Is both a taboo n seen as something "ashaming",so even if they had a child It was more likely they'd Hide It or leave It behind. So it's already a really, god-awful situation for them.
The magic works kinda randomly, in the sense that since the hybrid's nature is seen as unstable to begin w, there's no real critere to handle how the child born Is gonna turn out to be.
Sometimes it's really hard to notice, having yeah some features but can be hidden really easly, but other times Is just, a real mess between the two species, n the magic Is also uncontrollable, especially during their first years of life.
For example, in Shou's case he used to really switch a lot between em, that being the reason he later on prefers not to switch, n havin to learn as soon as possible how to learn how his magic n form would work w It, having again a lot of preassure comin from people he knew.
This Is unfortunatly a really common situation between most hybrids. And there's also no choise.
If you as an hybrid can control magic w/o anything to rely on then you can live, while if you cannot do It, it's a matter of time before you'd get zoned out by everyone and everything.
This Is a big issue, other than having everything fucked by the cult but that's another story.
Aight now bout demi-gods, they're also really not seen well. Most of them prefer not to interact at all with anything that Is not godly related, and in fact, most of em even refused to adknowledge their mortal parent, since they all have resentment over the sudden disappereance of all belivers.
If anything Naexi Is a weird one at that, as they did have a suddent interest in humans and ungodly creatures, though still recognized about how cruel any of them could've been, especially she's a demi-god and has a bad reputation at that.
The magic system Is relatively simple, they just get a certain amount of power from their god parent and are actually pretty capable of controlling them in confront of Hybrids.
That mainly comes from a special connection w their god parent's power, so in theory they're sort of devoted to them.
I wanna expand this when I'll do the gods post n finnaly introduce some of em (And potentially Naexi's mother👀), so I'll not go beyond this atm.
Third part- Magical items/weapons
Aight onto another important part, which Is basically how tf would that work. We have that comin from Qiran's sword n Lyva's earrings, so they'll also be later on disscussed bout.
Even though it's a tough and long procedure, you can transport some of your own magic onto somethin as ordinary as an hat or as sharp as a dagger.
This Is being mainly used in emergency situations, as that energy can eventually be re-used later on by its user.
The user can be changed as long as there's a deal between both parties, whether that being a gift, buying It, or anythin up to them really.
It can also be a great way to hide mage's power, since there are some parts where they arent exactly that respected, so they could blend in with normal humans.
In fact, Qiran does that continiously thanks to their sword, daggers and other lil weapons, and they keep a big part of It there, to seem rather a normal knight/adventurer rather than havin somethin supernatural goin on.
They have a great holdo it since their father did make them learn to fulfill their request to be freerly goin round.
With Lyva it's not really different, even if she kinda stole It n there wasn't really a deal at that moment, but before runnin away from everyone n everything she convinced her mother to give her something that she could use to defend herself, since they were never around and when they were, they would've kinda avoided her.
Oh, and to add this, you could also curse an item. It's a way to mainly punish since ,well, it's a curse,
and makes the user either completely obsessed with the object itself or makin them do somethin w/o any type of consent, whether physical or emotional.
In some cases It can also be a torture tool. Though, as some recent stuff happened, they're somewhat hard to find.
