having a headmate super into shit u dont care abt is funny as hell. i pass star wars art like "idk who these ppl even are" and then i hear riley say "that's ashoka" so i scroll back up bc he can't POSSIBLY know that, but lo and behold!! he was right!!

at first i thought people were overreacting about jack manifold being misogynistic because i refuse to watch mizkif so i hadnt seen the stream/clips. all i heard was he said 15 year olds watch him and george.

but i just watched his apology (?) stream and...

if your first instinct is to get pissed and refute claims (of misogyny) then like... you're doing something wrong. if people say you're being sexist then you shut up and listen. after you understand WHY they are calling you misogynistic, then you can decide if you think you need to apologize/change.

also. they weren't saying 15 year olds watch george. they were saying that georgenotfound is only successful because he is attractive to 15 year old girls- that is misogynistic because it's the same old dismissive claim about 15 year old girls' interests.

george is successful because he is entertaining and skilled at what he does.

15 year old girls are allowed to like whatever the fuck they want and it doesn't make that thing less entertaining or less skilled. its okay for 15 year old girls to have interests.

- angst i guess, idk im sure theres some i dont use but tagging stuff as angst always makes me go "but it wasn't REALLY" even tho the entire fic is heavy angst sjfjsdf

- my favorite to read is soulmates au/soulmate-identifying mark or fake/pretend relationship. my favorite to tag stuff with is "dead dove: do not eat" because it's fun to type and my favorite in terms of how funny they are would be those "no beta we die like [fandom specific thing]" but only because that's sage's favorite tag :]

- ITS ABOUT THE FACT THAT NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE OR WHAT'S HAPPENED THEY MEET EACH OTHER AND THEY FALL IN LOVE. it's about the fact that these people are made for each other, and there is nothing they can do about it. it's about how they can hate each other at first as much as they want but once they finally understand that in this world every one truly is alone and and this One Person will ALWAYS be there for them. it's about knowing that when you're together you become the best (or worst) version of yourself and you help this person become that too. it's about knowing that you have a person to face this horrible fucking life with and they have you too.

28. Any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing?

- write what you can in a scene and come back to it. if you can write all the descriptions and actions, write that and add dialogue later. if you can write dialogue but nothing else, do that, come back to it. if you can just write what you want to happen in brackets then do that.
