THIRTY | BENNETTS+
In terms of the city of Chicago, today had been quiet. He went to do a school presentation right away in the morning, followed by a few walk throughs. There was a small kitchen fire that was quick to put out. Things had been going well until someone pointed it out. “Casey I swear to god, you did not just say what I thi-” and before he could finish the sentence the bell had gone off and trucks were being called out. “See what you did?” He slipped into his boots and pants, throwing his suspenders over his shoulders and grabbing his jacket off the hook before getting into the back of the cab.
It was a quick ride, nothing too far away. People started piling out of trucks and towards the building with the command on where to go and what to check. Mitchell was behind the truck when he heard the first shot fired, ducking immediately. He looked out to make sure any of his team was okay, the couple of men along side of him looking over as the police cars had started arriving to scene.
