Upon Return Home, Voyager Crewmembers Enroll at Starfleet Academy

B’Elanna Torres was fast-tracked for graduation following one year of Academy study, given her previous attendance and “excellent” record of service as Voyager’s Chief Engineer. Tom Paris will also return to the Academy, and will be joined by ex-Borg Seven of Nine. Vice-Admiral Janeway also recommended a shortened Academy course for the latter, which the Academy deemed irresponsible. “We welcome Seven of Nine to Starfleet Academy, where we look forward to her attendance as any other cadet,” the Academy said in a statement.

A celebrated ex-Borg crewmember of Voyager made short work of her discommendation of the Federation's response to the recent attack on Mars. In a brief, impromptu statement to journalists, Seven of Nine, who has chosen not to reclaim her birth name, said she was disappointed the Federation was not adhering to its ideals as it moved to ban synthetics and rescind its planned aid in the evacuation of Romulus.

"I served for years with people who extolled Starfleet's virtues. My experiences in the Federation have not been up to the standards of those people, who I came to respect deeply. I hope these decisions which are made in fear will be reversed before their consequences are inalterable."

Seven of Nine enrolled at Starfleet Academy upon Voyager’s return to Earth, but washed out a year later. She was commanded on Voyager by then-Captain Janeway, who is on an unknown assignment and unreachable for comment.

Commander Tuvok, who also served on Voyager, has followed Admiral Picard's example and resigned in protest.

XB Seven of Nine Rumored to Have Joined the Fenris Rangers

Seven of Nine, once admired throughout the Federation as a hero when Voyager returned to Earth, appears to have joined the vigilante group the Fenris Rangers. Annika Hansen, as her parents named her, washed out of Starfleet Academy in 2380.

Annika’s ward Icheb, who is also an ex-Borg, graduated with honors from the Academy. He has recently taken a leave from Starfleet. He is suspected of joining Annika and the Rangers near Romulus, though sources cannot confirm this.
