As a friend of the one you tagged in her art 'white washing' in the cookie run art i wanna say it wasnt intentional?? she was just using a palette dude. in fact shes particularly *against* whitewashing and the next shades up happened to match the characters hair, so if she used those ones the colors would've blended together. I can confirm on her behalf it genuinely wasnt meant to be pale for the sake of being pale. :')

I'm still super bummed that Derek went from my favorite portrayal of a gentle Dominant who knew what the fuck he's talking about to forcing Dirk to shoot a guy :< I had FAITH. And it got shot down like the poor guy in the chair. Keep up the good writing though!

Man, I know. A lot of people were really happy that Derek was a pretty good guy at first and when I read those comments I was just like 😬 I am so sorry.

I hope at least that it’s worth something that he’s not a 100% terrible, asshole-all-the-time dude, ‘cause that’s always disappointing to read. I like making my horribleterrible characters human and likeable at least part-time.

I MEAN, we’re gonna see some more actually supportive Derek down the line but it’s definitely gonna go back and forth. We’re gonna see this kind of stuff again. ):

My favorite way of doing wings is to make sure the upper body and chest are built in a way that makes them, like, possible i guess?? there needs to be enough muscle to power them and get the lift-off, and im fairly certain you need BIG lungs (correct me if im wrong there), and theres center of balance and all that. so i agree and it really is off-putting when someone sticks them on like theyre the cardboard wings you buy at a halloween store in october and/or putting them way too low and skinny.

When putting wings on a humanoid you always have to make anatomical compromises. Some compromises bother other people more than others and it’s up to the individual to decide what they like. Personally I don’t mind the wings being a little lower down if it means they don’t have to be on the back (the long legs of humanoids might make up for the balance issues a bit idk). And I suspend my disbelief when it comes to lung capacity and much of the extra musculature that would be needed.
