Thursday, February 25: M.O.D., “No Glove, No Love”
The timeline of M.O.D.’s origins were never clear, but regardless of whether Method of Destruction formed before or after Stormtroopers of Death, Billy Milano couldn’t be anything other than himself. So M.O.D. was pretty much guaranteed to follow S.O.D.’s template, delivering a steady stream of comedic hardcore thrash via Megaforce (because of course) that was somehow both tight and incompetent at the same time. And with titles like “No Glove, No Love”, Milano clearly wasn’t aiming for mystery: his shouting was hectoring, hilarious, a little clueless and strangely endearing in equal measure, as if he just didn’t know any better. As for the music, it was largely standard-issue late ‘80s thrash/crossover, cheaply recorded (because Megaforce) but full of vigor, aggression and fun, and likely went down a storm at local skate parks. But for all of Milano’s bluster, M.O.D. never claimed to be anything other than a fun band to mosh and holler to, and “No Glove, No Love” handily met those requirements.

The Return of M.O.D.!
Hey there, SeaFam. Been a while, huh? A lot has happened since we last talked. I moved out of my abusive parent’s place, I’ve gone through two different houses since then, I’ve started T, gone to University, stopped going to University, realized I’m polyamorous, and started my career as an Early Childhood Educator! I had to take a break from this blog for my own failing mental health, but I think it’s time that I’ve returned. I don’t know if I’m going to be nearly as active as I was when I first started this blog, but I think it’s time to come back and help. If you want to send well wishes, please send them to @ghostyfelix instead of here so we don’t clog up the ask box~
