You don't understand -

I have the deep desire to describe every little detail of a room in my stories, but I end up becoming too fucking scared of making the reader think I'm overcompensating or even boring, so I end up barely describing things.

So instead with ATR, I'm gonna keep the descriptions to a modest minimum. But if there's a fucking chapter where it's just me describing every single room in Alyssa's house, don't point at me. It was the word goblin in my tummy that did it.

Just a little PSA for the beta readers following me and interacting with me;

I don't work with beta readers as an author. I already have people who do so and I don't need outside sources trying to interact with my writing.

Also I am only currently making fanfics and I 100% assure you that you REALLY don't wanna read the shit I'm writing. Even when I do get to more solid stages of my actual book I'm working on, you won't wanna read it.

Alyssa gets my childhood dream ATR;

An unreasonably large walk-in closet!

Like you don't understand... I remember seeing shows like Suite Life and Two Broke Girls and those scenes where London and Carolyn have huge closets were like a fucking DREAM for little me.

Alyssa's fucking closet even has a whole "dressing room" area, which is literally just a little makeup section. It was all inspired by these photos specifically I found on Pinterest and used in the "ATR Alyssa's House" board

Obvs some of the pictures on the walls aren't time accurate since the story takes place in the early 60s, but it's the IDEA of it babes. Don't come for my bootyhairs unless you're trying to braid them.

Currently curating a ATR Alyssa house pinterest board because I would like to have in physical form what this house would look like, because my brain legit was like "yeah a small house that has like 20 rooms in it" and I realized that what I was thinking about was a FUCKING MANSION.

Well, a buddy peeked at the board and commented on how the room aesthetics I have chosen for the kids Lyss will eventually birth having drastically different room aesthetics (like the eldest daughter having a very Y2K hot pink room, the eldest son having that stereotypical messy older brother room, and the younger kids having more childish or whimsical rooms) and it's confusing the fuck out of me.

Like to parents SERIOUSLY stifle the creativity of their children for their fucking aesthetic??? Alyssa would NEVER be one of those parents and she'd smack the shit out of her wet dog of a husband if he tried that shit on her.

Reminder that Alyssa is a character who NEVER GOT A CHILDHOOD. She was thrown into the hunting life pretty much the moment she started walking, so there's no fucking way this woman would stifle her children's spirits, rather instead try to uplift them. Just because she has a gothic aesthetic and likes things like taxidermy spiders, collecting bones(most of them being resin for obvs reasons), having spooky decor like fake skulls, bats, spider webs or coffins... none of that means she would force that onto her kids. Her kids would 100% be encouraged to find what they find joy in and she would celebrate every little bit of that.

Anyways. Once the pinterest boards are finished (or at least as fulfilled as I want them to be) I will make a post linking them because I am super passionate about this shit. There's other boards I have to make, but so far I am super excited about this. And I will say; the house I chose as a placeholder for Alyssa's house in ATR is fucking hilarious. I had no clue that there was so many AI house pics on pinterest, and I'm not 100% convinced the mansion I chose is AI or not, but I searched up "whimsical mansion" because I thought Alyssa's house being super colorful and happy on the outside only to be all dark and spooky (while also lively, because in this story Lyss is a witch full-time teehee)

I don't wanna keep posting about my art comms, but I need help getting tf out of my current housing situation. So if you want that explanation, that will be below. As for right now, let me explain the commissions I have;

Both for $5, I have two art comms. I have a $5 portrait option, which will come fully colored and shaded of yourself OR your own character (no, copyrighted characters such as a marvel, DC, or anything like that will NOT be allowed. I apologize) and it may look something like this

*A quick not that you CAN ask for different styles! The style is not a set thing, and no you don't need to pay for requesting another style. I had different styles already set up as an example on the listing, so please tell me if there's a specific style you want and I will do my very best to replicate it! Again, fully free of charge.

The other option is also $5 but it's for content creators (i.e., tiktok, youtube, etc.) and they are talk-sprites, which come in a collection of five! These talk-sprites come in just solid color with no shading and their emotions will be

Happy/Sad/Shocked/Thinking/Mad. You can also ask for an extra five talk-sprites for just $3 with your own choice of emotions(just please keep it SFW lol)! These talk-sprites have my own style, so it's a weird chibi/homestuck/invader zim kinda look to it? Just look at these twerps!

And of course, the very last commission is writing, and this IS my most expensive commission option. For $25, I will write you something up to 5,000 words. All I need is a description of the plot, the characters, and any other details you may deem important. You can pay for extra words up to 50,000 words but it does an extra $5 for each addition.

You may be wondering why the art commissions are so cheap compared to the writing comms, and it's very simple. Art commissions take me lass time to complete and send out, so making an art commission obviously won't take too much. As well as funding for every single piece; most piece is made traditionally with supplies from the dollar store and each piece takes anywhere to an hour and a half to two hours. Meanwhile, writing takes more time and energy to create something.

So why am I out here pushing my commissions? Very simple, my friend.

My current housing situation is very toxic. I need to get out ASAP, and in order to do so, I need money. I've been applying to a shit ton of jobs and getting absolutely nothing in return, despite the fact that I have years and years and years of experience specifically with art AND writing.

So for now, I need to do comms so I can build up some funds to be able to get out. I don't want to beg for money, but I'm at a point where I have to. Silly little fun fact abt miss Alyssa!

In Blackened Angel and ATR, she's often depicted as wearing reds and pinks frequently; but in her adulthood she instead starts wearing purples.

That's because, obviously, when you mix red and blue together, you get purple. Alyssa has come to love both her father and uncle (Dante and Vergil) despite their shortcomings. You also have to remember, in this storyline; Vergil isn't a literal criminal (or he is but has reformed because hey! killing people is NOT okay!)

It's subtle, but it's something I wanted to add because Alyssa has a habit of idolizing both men (especially Vergil in BA after he starts reforming) so her choosing purple to instead favor is symbolism of her accepting that both men are not perfect and never will be, and that's okay.

Alexander keeps red though, because he's not idolizing their dad. He just fucks with the color red, that's it. Lmao.
