My HC brain is whirring today...

So assuming that the Ministry is pretty self-sufficient to a degree, it would make sense that they have livestock. Suppose that Mountain cares for the livestock as well as the orchards and gardens.

So every so often he has to go into town to buy feed. Most of the time the Ministry does orders for delivery, but sometimes it just doesn't happen and Mountain has to go pick it up. So he takes the beat up truck and goes into town to load up on corn and oats and other livestock specific feed. He often forgets how strong he is compared to humans or even other ghouls. So, he is always confused as to why the workers at the feed store stare at him wide eyed when he refuses help loading up and just hoists two 50lb bags of feed onto each shoulder without thinking much of it and just walks back to the truck as casual as you please.

I've seen some strong af folks walk into the barn and carry out that much and it is always like, "HOW" but also, "...Could you carry me like that?"

I max out at 75lbs. on one shoulder, albeit I have also done it with 50lbs. on one and 25lbs. but 100lbs. on both shoulders would probably result in me getting squished.

Mountain would be the customer we have to tell to use the carts because the other dudes in the shop feel like they have to do that now.

Like, "Holy shit, don't do that-"

Although, I could also see Mountain being the customer who works out the logistics of having to use a hand truck and going, "The handle for those ones are all the way down there, and I am all the way up here, so it'll hurt my back more to use this." versus, "It's only this many bags, and using the dolly would look/feel awkward because of the weight displacement and how few there are..."

He'd probably at least put the carts back in the right spot, ya know, instead of leaving them in the back lot...

Or by the side of the building...

Or in the parking lot...

Or right outside the door, thus blocking the exit...

I also feel like he'd be the customer that taste tests the hay.

The amount of people who do that... is not zero.

In fact, I think I have witnessed at least one person do so.

Mountain would eat an entire handful though.

Going back to the idea of Dew as a Sphinx cat...

Do you think Mountain ever wakes up to Dew loafing on his chest and making biscuits in his titties?

Mountain: *waking up* Dew...what-what are you doing?

Dew: *kneading* making you more comfortable.

Mountain: Why?

Dew: ....reasons.

Mountain: *pulls out the nail clippers* well then we're clippings your claws cuz they're just way to pokey for it being this early in the morning.

Dew's out here working overtime at the biscuit factory and Mountain is trying to impact his livelihood clipping his nails. Truly despicable.

I haven't thought of this little guy in ages, but now I am consumed with thoughts of this raw chicken looking jerk.

Speaking of snacks...specifically sleep snacks...

Phantom is walking down the hallway and hears Rain, Dew and Swiss talking about sleep snacks but in passing doesn't catch the part where its explained that Sleep Snacks are naps.

So he just figures that bringing snacks to bed is a thing you do and surprises the hell out of Swiss when he shows up ready to go bed that night with a whole-ass sandwich.

*Here, have another cookie*

Phantom would definitely do something like that and Swiss would be like, "Aw, bud..." and explain it to him, maybe, or just think it was seriously endearing, but nonetheless silly, and tease him about it endlessly... or a combination of all of these lol

On that note though, I think Phantom is a midnight snacker/needs to have his big as heck water bottle filled to the brim every night or else he has to walk down the big scary hallway to the kitchen all alone.

The hallway is actually neither big nor scary, and the living room light is always on down the other end, so it's not even dark really... he's just a bit skittish lol

Bea: "Look, I know we don't always see eye to eye..."

Mountain: *Deadpan* "That's because you're short."

Bea: "......Listen here you BITCHASS."

Next thing the siblings and ghouls would overhear is Bea loudly discussing how they neuter bulls, and giving him the side-eye, and Mountain not knowing if she's serious or not.

Copia finally gets the moose fencing she's been asking for, if only so Mountain doesn't come to any harm.

Consider the following conversation, if you would.

Mountain: okay, it's Dew's turn to pick the movie tonight.

Dew: the theme is comedy/horror, or mock horror

Aurora: there's different kinds of horror besides just regular scary movies?

Cumulus: yeah! There's even holiday themed ones that are just fun! My favorite is Nightmare Before Christmas!

Dew: actually Lus, my pick is kinda similar along those lines.

Aurora: what's the name of the movie you picked, Dew?

Dew: *very matter of factly* Gingerdead Man 2: Passion of the Crust

*the whole pack stares blankly at Dew*

Aether: *slowly takes the remote away* yeah...your movie picking privileges are revoked.

That's a real movie I found out about today btw

Dew should be allowed to show the pack weird movies whenever he wants.

...I feel like Swiss would at least be down to watch it with him, like, "I'll watch it!"

And then suddenly that's their thing.

They watch odd movies together.
