Introductory Post Version... I dunno how many.

My name is Bunny/Lamp, and I'm an artist and occasional writer, who posts about the band Ghost, hiking, working retail, and really whatever pops to mind at the time.

I'm mostly here to vibe and shoot the breeze, and to have something to do after work that doesn't require me getting up off my butt.

My ask box is open, but I have anon off so I can more easily filter through the messages I receive. For the sake of my sanity, I am not currently taking writing/art requests, but when I am, I will make a separate post for that.

All in all, I'm a fairly laid back person, so if you send me an ask about non-fandom related things, that's perfectly fine by me!

Also, as a rule of thumb, I don't generally give people permission to repost my creations on other sites, nor do I post my fandom content elsewhere, so if you see it floating around places like Instagram or Twitter, then it wasn't put there by me personally.

Customer, looking directly at me: "Can you help me check out?"

Me, looking at my hands covered in paint, then the touch screen register, and then back at my hands: "...Once I've sheared three layers of latex based paint off, yes-"

I went hiking over the weekend (solo hike on Saturday, and a walk with a friend on Sunday), and I kept seeing this one plant, and I was like, "I'm going to try and identify this plant without looking it up right away!" because plants/plant identification is something I want to get better at.

Anyway, I was like, "Based on the petal distribution and shape of the leaves, I think this is part of the rose family."

And I was right!

It was the multiflora rose, which is invasive, but was commonly used to counter erosion in certain areas and to form natural fencing since it grows densely.

However, it was also growing alongside another potentially invasive plant; Honeysuckle (not all honeysuckle is invasive), which also constricts native plant growth.

I saw a lot of both of these along the main and secondary trails in the park, and it seems like it's really spread out, because I've never seen so much of it there in past years.

But yeah, if you're ever wondering what I'm doing between mental breakdowns, I'm just out in the woods somewhere trying to guess what plants are called and also, maybe, unrelated, stumbling upon abandoned buildings.

The restaurant apparently doesn't know where the envelope got to, which means the courier handed it to a random person, who took it.

To say I am beyond pissed is an understatement.

T-Minus... hmmm, perhaps an hours? Until I decide if I'm going to fight someone in a parking lot.

For legal reasons, this is a joke to cope with the fact that this bullshit happened to begin with, but for the sake of my sanity, and the rage boiling inside of me, I would like to fight.

I already didn't like this restaurant, but now I have personal fucking beef with them over this shit.

How hard is it to contact an employee and tell them, "Hey, you need to bring this here now.", especially when possession of said item could get everyone in legal trouble?

Like for fuck's sake, man.

I need to go for a fucking walk or something because I am legitimately still fucking pisses about this shit.

I got out of work early today, only to have to return to the shop not even three hours later, because the courier service that delivers special mail to our shop fucked up and handed an envelope with important information in it to some random person at the restaurant down the street instead of going, "Oh, they're closed? I'll hand it off to be delivered by the other driver tomorrow." which is what they're supposed to do! It's not supposed to leave the chain of custody!

I was looking all around for that shit, and when I went there, the GM was like, "We don't have anyone here by that name! And I checked all of our mail so we don't have it, sorry! I'm not lying to you-"

And then my boss got a pic of the drop off (they are required to take a picture of the hand off and take a name down) and lo and behold it was the fucking restaurant.

So my boss called and they were like, "Oh! Yeah, we know who that might have been! We'll contact them right away! :D"

I hope the GM gets a rock dropped on his foot, and wish the courier a swift kick in the fucking balls for handing off important documents to a person at the completely fucking wrong address, who then probably took them the fuck home with them or some shit.

I'm not going to rest right until I know my boss has the documents in hand, because what the absolute fuck.

The restaurant hasn't called my boss back, and they close soon, so my other boss is going to go up there tomorrow (the restaurant owners know my other boss) and rain hell upon them, so that's fun.

I can't wait for this to be the only thing I can think about all weekend while I'm trying to decompress... I say sarcastically in case someone isn't picking up on the tone.

Shit fucking sucks ass.

I got home at 2, but couldn't do anything to unwind or even eat dinner because I had to leave before the food was done, and then spent the bulk of my afternoon trying to find this shit only to be lied to by the GM and then have them not be diligent about getting the situation handled.

Like, if I was in possession of another businesses mail, especially something important like that, I would be making sure that shit got there ASAP so my ass wouldn't get in trouble.

The feeling when it's not the height of the jump, but the anticipation of the impact on your knees that keeps you from hopping down from something.

Like, if I hop down from a truck these days, I have to worry my knees are gonna go to shit and I'm gonna be stuck on the ground, not that it's happened yet, but I know it's gonna be unpleasant.

One of my OCs got rejected by their canon husband, so out of spite Poseidon has been added to my island, because this character, per D&D shenanigans, ended up as his, uhh, right hand man so to speak.

I also tried to trap the husband on an little strip of land in the sea, but he teleported back to the mainland because I didn't put him far enough away, I guess.

Anyway, I'm trying not to think too hard on some things, so Tomodachi bullshit it is.

I finally watched Jennifer's Body over the weekend, which you'd think I would have done sooner, but ehn, and I have the song Jenny stuck in my head now.

That and the scene where the researchers try and figure out where things thrown in the hole go.

My takeaways from Jennifer's Body were, "Oh, hey, it's that song!" and, "Haha, yeah, it's fascinating how water goes places-"

My Tomodachi island is mostly fantasy characters, a loose handful of non-supernatural/non-fantasy characters, and two of the ghouls from Ghost.

This means my slice of life office worker ocs are interacting with the god of death, talking about ancient blood curses, and drinking cups of blood like it's just a normal Saturday night.

One supposes for someone it could be.

Me, considering getting back into working out: "If I exercise more outside of work, it will help with my flexibility and endurance, especially if I mix in some lower impact routines to help recover from all the lifting I do..."

Also me: "...Yeah, but have we considered sleeping all weekend-"

Me, tired, already dreading the end of the week because we're going to have to do employee training, and my one coworker is already being pessimistic about the whole thing: "I cannot stress this enough, but I sincerely do NOT give a fuck. We need someone new to fit the role, and I do not want any bullshit drama over this transition. We're all grown ass adults and we can talk and explain ourselves like ones!"

Also me: "I actually give a massive fuck about all of this, but it has drained all of the energy from my body."

I spent way, way too much time playing Tomodachi Life today, but, in my defense... Actually, no, I basically blinked once and now it is nighttime.
